Interesting interview;

I am happy that they are focusing on social aspects and not just going for a 100% pvp mayhem focus

    Nice, thanks.

    I like what they explain and how they explain it. Makes a lot of sense and shows they are headed on the right direction.

    Wish there had been a question about PvE.

    Very nice. And pretty much what I wanted to hear about some of the subjects. Can't wait to play :)

    As always i give my highest respect for developers that dare to do thier own thing. So thanks Star Vault for skipping the WoW-clone pattern almost everyone esle is following.

    "Our goal from the beginning has been to release only the fundamental core of the game to begin with, to make sure there’s an interest in it. "

    Its looks like we we be paying for another beta. But I guess thats the standard these days.

    I too saw that comment and shook my head.   I think he just means the first continent and a fully functional game................. ok, I hope that is what he meant.

    Here is a novel idea- wait until the game has features you would enjoy before you play. I know that would require some homework, even after release, but it works wonders. That goes for anyone.

    Personally, I too like the social ideas. It actually gives inns meaning, other than sitting around reading erp in the /say channel, and kind of reminds me of certain player shops in old school SWG, with the "nonAH".

    "you don’t loot a corpse by double-clicking on it, you will have to be quick and pick stuff up manually, and we most definitely won’t show you any fancy lottery-table when your party kills a big creature. Instead your group may end up in a fight for the loot, agreements may be betrayed, or who knows, maybe another party ambushes you while you recover from the fight."

    Interesting... although in my experience healers get totally stiffed on any system whereby the nearest character gets to pick stuff up first.
