Ive played wow and lotro to death.
I like pvp, prefferably on a large scale. I thinking of trying age of conan again (i quit after first month) but im still on the fence about it.
I enjoy playing stealth/assassin classes.
I dont mind if its a Western/Asian MMO.
So any sugguestions?
Thanks in advance

Are you really into pve and pvp? Looking for PK server with unique combat system and skill system? Asheron's Call has 1 of the best out there nowadays even its 10 years old game. Try play on cruel world, Darktide! Where pk's are waiting for you!

Give Warhammer a shot it has some pretty good Pvp in my opinion and since you like stealth charcters, witch elf or witch hunter would be worth a shot also chronicles of spellborn is out in open Beta might wanna give that one a shot the mechanics are a bit different but it sure makes you think.

Im having a look at Asherons Call right now ^^
Wasn't there meant to be a Asherons Call 2 aswell?
There was AC2 but that time Microsoft was owning it, and they sold it back to turbine and turbine shut down AC2 because they were making DDO and LOTRO that time.(wrong move to do that)

I did give Warhammer a try but i didn't like it, i felt my freedom was really limited in that game. Whats Spellborn like? Ive been hearing good things about it, pvp any good?

I know how u are feeling. You wanted freedom in games that doesn't really tell u quest to go that npc then kill, then go next npc etc....
Asheron's call has non of those. Once you entered the game, your on ur own path!
I have tried Free-trial Spellborn, its good if you like manual combat.(manual aim) So far from what I been playing at beginning, you hav eto kill x mob to get y rewards. This game is not for me anyway.

You seem like the sort of guy who would like Darkfall, with all the freedom and stuff, you tried that?

No, I'm not going to play Darkfall because I'm not into Hardcore PVP only. If it has huge huge element of PVE as well, then maybe I would try it out. But from what I been reading and learning about the game, its not for me.

I really think im gonna have to just bite the bullet and try conan trial.
It's worth a try now, it has changed a lot. Your alternative is Warhammer, at least until Mortal online goes live.
Late next year we will see Guildwars 2, that will focus a lot of effort on massive PvP but currently most of the games are PvE centerd.
i have gone through so many mmo's and im finding that most of them are missing an element, i cant describe what it is but it just feels like the same old same old with each new one that i try.
Personally i want to go back to the 2.5d era of mmos such as MU Online which had the feeling that you could do whatever you desired whenever you desired. Im getting sick of mmos just following a questline to level up.. i mean i do want there to be quests but i think mmorpg's such as ragnarok werent just successful because of the anime style graphics and class structures. I also believe they were successful because they dont rely on following a massive questline that gets boring after awhile of playing. Thus im looking for something which is new, but with 2.5d style (reason for the 2.5d style is because lately the new mmos have been focusing on major graphic updates but losing out on gameplay) i mean i dont want to be critical but i've played warhammer, and the pvp isnt what i hoped it to be because the spellcasts and fighting styles are quite limited to the possible class structures.
Thus i find it a hell of a lot more fun in terms of pvp when playing in 2.5d side graphics.
However it also, as a personal preferance, i would like something new, something where newer players have a chance of catching old veterans by hard training, because i dont wanan just enter into a game and get pked instantly either.
i guess u can say im just being critical but i like the chance at leveling up and being a top player. so right now im looking for something new, moderate graphics, good gameplay and extremely class oriented interactive. I like the good old days where people actually chose their builds of STR DEX INT VIT AGI LUK and so on. Rather then most new mmo's lvling that up automatically
there should be no levels, i think someone should adopt the fable evolution of a character. your character evolves due to the actions you take. a player who uses heavy weapons becomes more muscular, a mages player becomes slightly crazy looking with glowing eyes and has a slender build.. a person who uses a bow will evolve a more agile build and their movements will look more nimble. if you do bad deeds your character looks more menacing, and will have armor options to suit your persona, same for if your character does good deeds, you will look like the valiant hero and armor will be unlocked to suit this path.
make character creation a continuous journey and not just at the begining of the game.
AMEN to that, and if ur gonna add a lvling system, no cap kthnx bai =P
Chronicles of Spellborn....
Uhh... what?
I'd have to go with a starcraft MMO.
Ya ya blizzard fanboy blah blah blah. Go ahead and hate. But it would kick some serious 455 regardless and you all know it.
starcraft is just a poor mans warhammer 40k.
You need to check out Runes of Magic if you enjoyed WoW. It's a blatent rip off but that's a good thing - it's like a free WoW with completely different storyline, classes, mounts at level 1, and a subclass system. I'm pretty sure there's a decent focus on PvP but I haven't gotten that far in the game yet.
