Which servers are good for new and returning players

FFXI was my first real mmo and I really enjoyed my 2 years if playing. I'm considering coming back but I am unsure of how populated the servers are these days and I really do not wish to be wating an hour for a party in Valkrum Dunes. Which servers would be good for new and returning players ? Thanks a bunch!

    Games just as strong if not stronger than it was before. Any server is good. Two are locked because of overpopulation. Odin and Bahamut.

    With Level Sync, you don't have to worry about not getting parties really. See about getting your original character back. I'm sure whatever server you were on will be fine.

    I'm on Kujata and everything is good over here. If you happen to choose to come here, let me know.

    I wouldn't worry about population in the least really. Lots of new people and such.

    Me and a few others are just starting up on ragnorak.  I'll be making a character named alysya (i hope) whenever I finish with this massive update.  If you want to join would be great :).
