RP server anyone?

Just wanted to get a rough idea on how many people will join the RP servers. While posts here will not really reflect that number, it would still be nice to hear your thoughts on this matter.

I've been told that the RP servers will entertain a more mature crowd than the average normal server and average pvp server. I haven't seen any facts to back this up, but it seems more likely that not that this would be true.

Either way, i myself, am thinking about joining the RP server not only for the maturity of the community but for chance to role play as well (maybe a wee bit redundant? image)

    I was thinking about joing an RP server, too, but that was before I heard there weren't going to be any RP-PvP servers at launch.

    As for how many people will be RPing... in OB there were enough RPers to fill up 2 RP servers, one on the east and west coast. But they also had "low" population, compared to other servers which usually had "high" or "medium".

    The last few days of OB when playing on server 10, everytime I had to wait 15-30 minutes in a queue to get into the game because the server was full.

    I might consider having a character on one of the RP servers. I want to see how the servers will be set up.

    A RP server seems really fun and entertaning....just have to check with my buddys at Little-gamers...hehe

    I definitely found the player base more mature on the RP servers. They probably won't change them to PvP servers for retail, but who knows.

    Just remember, even on non-PvP servers, you can toggle PvP on for your character. I think as a RP server evolves, you will start to see some guilds on both sides that will partake in or even focus on PvP.

    Btw I think Blizzard stated that there won't be any RP server at launch last time I checked the boards before closing them..

    i thought they said no rp-pvp onlaunch, and no you can't toggle pvp, but you can go raiding and attack their npcs, but not themselves

    Could have been but the question about if the RP server is going to have pvp on was answered by Blizzard saying that they didn't even think about implementing it. While on the other hand Im about sure to have seen another thread where Blizzard said something about no putting it for launch but will follow shortly so...../shrugs

    Yes you can toggle PvP.  Just type /PvP.

    I'll be there, I just hope they take the players' advise and make the RP servers PVP as well.

    (If I buy WoW that is)
