To those who played the beta, who is the highest ranking character/race in the final beta days?

LOL hunter's suck they can't kill stuff 3 lvl's above them and at the best 2 lvls. they are nothing without there pets and which are the only reason people like hunters is because of there pets. which people will learn later on won't help them much in groups since they bring nothing to groups. i'd say rogue since they have massive damage and can get in and out of places without any problem and they are loved by groups.

I think that it depends on what type of game you want to play.. pvp servers are different than rp and normal.
But overall, I've tried some of the classes and races, and the one i liked msot was the rogue troll.. trolls are pretty because of they regenerate fast, and the rogue.. well its a rogue
(you know that can hides and pickpocket and stuff)
the night-elfs are cool too, but that for the style... i just find them awesome, however almost all the classes are well balanced, it depends on how you play it.. like don't do a priest if you wanna do a lot of meelee combat and don't want the help of anyone.
Actually i think its more of "ganging up" thing, every classes with their respective races altogether to be as good as possible, in pvp servers we needed all of them trust me...
anyway, depends on you... everyone is different
oh man, i lvoed my lvl 25 hunter, duel wield swords, with my 25 bear. i was pretty good at pvp only thing that killed me was a rouge with stun who was 5 lvls higher then me, but besides that i beat anyone around my lvl 90% of the time. and soloing was great becuase it was like i had some one in my party to arggo the creature while i sit back and used my bow and arrows. and sneaking by wasnt hard either, id send in my pet to arggo the two lvl??? orc guards while i run past...yes i scraficed my bear, but for the good of the land!
i have no idea what im going to be in retail, maybe another hunter or a warlock
There really isnt one.
The classes are really well balanced. anyone could take you out if they get the better rolls. I play a paladin mostly and most people who play them say they are gimped but strangely enough the people who play against them say they are overpowered.
This is just as it should be. When all the people think their character is underpowered and everyone elses is overpowered then the game is truly balanced properly because it means they are actually all around the same and people are simply wanting to be uber.
Good job Devs. The lesson here is play what is fun for you because there are no gimped classes right now they are all good so enjoy it because it wont last. people will whine and complain until the nerf bat comes out and ruins it for everyone.

Right now every class is very powerful if played right, heck even priests are very powerful.
A lot of people say druids and hunters suck for pvp.. but these people are retards.
I knew someone with a 57 shaman and a 45druid, he says druids can be the best class in the game if the player using it knows what he is doing.
But as for me, i will likely play paladin... a lot of people will be paladin / shaman / and hunter, but it doesn't really matter, what matters is what class you think you would enjoy.
Ultimately, all the classes in this game are pretty well balanced (early on shamans are overpowered but late game it tends to balance out). Very rare to have balance as good as this in a game.
So, don't be a FOTM character, because if you know what you're doing you will win more fights than you lose anyway.

really hard to decide whats is teh best class/race in teh game. i`d say go for whatever u like to play
This is the kind of players that destroy RPG games... Cookiecutters. Wish they could go back to Super Mario.
Strongest? The one you play the best. If you can not play, then any class will be bad.

The best build in the worst players hands will be horrible. The worst build in the best players hands will be effective. When making a character what do you want to do? Choose a group of characters because of that, say you want to make a melee fighter, and you dont want to worry about healing party members and stuff so you wouldnt be a paladin. If you didnt want to hdie all the time, and fight with more strategy you wouldnt be a paladin, if you just wanted to melee fight, and just melee. Be a warrior.
Then as your playing the game, look at the talents, choose which ones you want, for whichever weapons you want, in whichever playstyle you want.
If you build yourself that way, you will be a good player. If you go cookiecutterish then youll end up with nothing but a awkward build that may not work for your personal play style/ability. For example on my rogue, i was really good. not because i copied someones build. But because i picked my talents, and skills and poisons the way i wanted to play my char. And i knew how to play that build to make it good. I think everyone plays this way ^^
Obviously Zeflon has never played a hunter because hunters will be in demand for grouping.
Every hunter brings a pet to a group, which is an extra tank. A tank that can be sacrificed if needed.
They have a talent called Trueshot Aura which adds 30 power to every groupmember's attack rating, both mellee and ranged.
Hunters can track beasts, humanoids, elementals etc, so will be invaluable when searching for specific mobs and maintaining perimeter awareness.
People who say all class and race combos are equally balanced are kidding themselves. Racial traits do matter, starting stats do matter, and starting location matters as well, since I found more lucrative quests and hunting grounds in some racial areas and not others.
Hunters will dominate the outdoors and can easily take down mobs 3 lvls higher because they do the most ranged damage of any class, and because the pet will tank a mob giving the hunter more time to inflict damage from a distance without taking hits themselves.
The hunter's weakness will be dungeons where ranged damage options may be limited.

There is no such thing as a strongest race or class.
The skill of the player and the circumstances of the encounter are what matters.
I made it to level 16 with my rogue before I started to PvP. For the enviroment, people think rogue is the all-so-mighty-I-can-never-die-killer-of-all-thigs. They wear cloth and leather armor. Sure, they deal great amount of damage but I suggest to consider to retreat if your're closing in on 25% hp remaining because those HPs go down fast.
I also played a NE Priest to level ~10. IT was fun, but the quests asked more of you to run around and deliver this to this person and that to that person. I'm sure it would be a lot better if I were able to level him higher to join groups though.
All in all, every race is equal; no matter what people say. The question is, which character/race you want to be? Remember, you're paying for the entertainment. You decide what happens.

Properly specced hunters do not suck, rogues fear us. Big red arrow above their heads = SHOOT HERE sign and kiss your stealth goodbye around hunters.
I've ripped mage and a paladin that attacked me. What saved me was my bear and my warstomp. Stunned paladin once I had him down to 1/10 of health then just turned to the mage and shot him up for massive damage.
