Do you believe in life after death

Do you think that there is life after death. This doesn't mean Heaven or Hell. It can mean your spirit going to another medium/plane..nirvana..whatever you think..or can be heaven or hell.

I believe my trapped alien spirit will be released upon my death.  Of course this is contingent on whether I gave enough money.

from a non theological perspective, ive seen too much crazy stuff on Ghost Hunters to believe otherwise against the existence of life after death

You too?  Pffwew, thought I was the only one.

No, actually, I don't.  I'm pretty sure we all know how we will feel while dead (there's some irony in that statement) because we lose large chunks of our day, every day.  It's called sleep.  When we are in the deeper stages of sleep we do not comprehend our own existences, and I believe it will be just as that in death - except we will no longer exist.  Either way, no one has ever ligitimately come back from the dead, so no one actually knows what death will be.  We just fear the unknown, and the creation of an afterlife gives us the ability to accept death because it is no longer unknown.

Yep.  I'd like for there to be something.  Makes me feel a little better, just hard to even fathom the whole nothing part of death.  For me, anyway.

True about sleeping, but if spirits/souls are real, that wouldn't be true - but if we do have a spirit/soul, they don't leave us when we sleep. True, the human body will never wake up, but the soul could enter a new level. I believe it does. I think there's enough evidence to say so - NDE, EVP's, etc. I know some people say "NDE are just brain dying"..but how do you explain people seeing what's going on if there dead? Some people can say exactly what the doctors did while they were dead at the time - how could that happen? I think saying it's just the brain dying is an "easy" way to explain it. Also, I think EVP's have proof too. True, some are fake - but not all.

Not sure.  I tend not to dwell on the subject.  I take it all one day at a time.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

I don't believe in the existense of a soul, after death, you are just a corpse with a suit and no place to go.

A friend is not him who provides support during your failures.A friend is the one that cheers you during your successes.

As in a soul type deal, nope I see no evidence to suggest a soul exists or continues to exist after you die.

Zombies I could see happening though, life after undeath.

Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit

I take the agnostic view, as in I dont know. There's no way to prove that there is until you die, or disprove it until you die, so with no facts to prove or disprove it, I cant go either way.

Currently restarting World of Warcraft :/

    Hazmal wins thread

And for my own answer:  Yes, but not in the typical sense of the Christian Heaven that most people have (which is mostly derived from personal desire rather than what's actually told about Heaven in the Bible)

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
