WoW question on reinstall and start time

1.) Do we need to uninstall OB version and install retail version of WoW?

2) What time does servers go online on Nov 23?

    1) No????  I would be inclined to yes.  If you did not need a new version, why would you need to buy the retail then, you would just buy a key and start playing without waiting for shipping.  Besides the game has a beta version, and im sure the retail will have a different one.  Again just my opinion.

    You dont have to uninstall it, the beta version is just that, a VERSION. All you're buying retail for IS the key, without a key you have nothing.

    Someone asked on the official forum just as the Open Beta closed, and Caydiem replied to the affirmative.

    If you still have the client installed, you'll just set up your account using your key, login, autopatch and away you go! ::::02::

    DO NOT un-install OB unless you want to waste from 15-45 minutes re-installing the same exact thing.

    ALL you need is the CD KEY

    and the ittle bittle patch that will auto-download come Tuesday morning.

    If you have the Open Beta client you do not need to reinstall, this is the release version of the game.  See in the bottom left where it has the version number and then in brackets (release assertions enabled). And if you got the last patch in OB, you actually have a newer version then will come in the retail box, though there will probably be another small patch.  All you really need is the key that comes with the retail box so you can create your new account.

    You guys realise it takes a long time to make copies of the game? That the version on the CDs are probably few versions earlier than what you have got on your hdd and probably will have to download a patch?

    And I confirm they officially said you are best keeping the open beta client!!

    True ... for one .. I bet the patch we downloaded last Week (I believe it was Wednesday?) probably isn't on the CD...

    ..So there will probably be more to download if you start from the CD rather than what you already have on your Drive...

    According to OneMadOgre at Worlfofwar.net, Blizzard announced to all the Fan Sites that the WOW servers will go live Tonight at Midnight (PST).
