Hello,
I am new to these forums, and have a pretty limited library of MMORPGs that i have played. These include:
-City of Heroes
-Age of Conan
-2moons (and various other free MMOs)
-Warhammer Online
-World of Warcraft
I can say that I love City of Heroes the character customization as well as the change of setting from a Fantasy filled game market. The gameplay was fluid, animations where great and the combat was fun. I also like WoW alot not because of the great gameplay, but because the community used to be so fun. While it has dwidled drastically over the last 3 years, I realized that why I still play is because the game play is so fluid the animations are top notch, and with its unique art style I really could feel apart of the world. I love that feeling that actually makes you seem apart of the world unlike a majority of MMOs have bad animations and you just seem out of place in the world. Warhammer was increadibly fun for me because of the very in depth World PvP system.
I am done with WoW which was easily has most of the playtime, greater than all the other games Ive played combined, and was looking to find a good game that is really fun and addictive. I was really hoping for you guys opinions on games that you find very fun. I was thinking that I should start up CoH again, but I am worried that it might be dead. I dont mind how hardcore it is, I'm really open to anything. Im however not looking for a game with just one aspect (ex PvE or just PvP) im looking for a "world." What games do you guys really enjoy? I
I was really looking for a game that could include all my favorite parts of MMOs which is fluid character animations, In-depth character advancement/creation, big beautifully rendered zones, interactive community, and a solid PvP game.
Anyways thanks for reading my post and thanks to any help/suggestions.
Life has no meaning, it is only what you make of it.

Trying to think through the games that are out meeting your criterias, I simply end up witht he ones you have already played: WoW, WAR, AoC and CoH. If you liked all of them (you didn't mention your take on AoC), it's hard to point you elsewhere. :-)
Did you play City of Villains? At least that'd give a slightly new look to CoH, and thus be a bit more fresh. Not sure about the population though.
If you can stand the lack of PvP, maybe try out Lord of the Rings Online. Or Saga of Ryzom might be an option, though I'm not sure how big that community is these days. It was always a nice one though.
I'd send you to The Chronicles of Spellborn for a try. Has some very nice fast paced combat that plays very smoothly(though flashy).
Granted I only played it in a early closed beta, but it was a good game even if it didn't suit me. However the whole licensing story for it is very very depressing and full of WTF.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
I don't know when tha last time you played Age of conan was, but I just re-subbed recently and it is really fun. Found myself playing it a little more then I would like to=D. I first subbed upon launch and didn't make it past my first free month cause I disliked it, but with all the patches it's actually pretty decent now.
The amount of childish players on my server is large, but everyone I have partied with or sent a whisper for help has been very nice and helpful. The zones start off small, but they get large and are definitely great looking if ya got the PC to handle it.
I was playing Ether Saga online before I got back into AoC and I thought it was a really enjoyable game too. It's graphics was very nice and artistic. It seemed there would be alot of grinding though. Like if you have to quest to kill monster A and you go out to kill 30 of monster A it only counts for one quest and not the other. Pretty stupid design.
MMO's I am playing
Ether Saga Online (Closed Beta)
Ultima Online (halted for now)
World of Warcraft (Retired and never going back)
