I had actually thought this game ran out of funding or folded since you don't see much discussion here of it. I do prefer games take a low approach to the marketing hype so I'm not disappointed.
But screenies along the way would have been nice. Thx again!
Looks like a Tabula Rasa and Gears of War mix. Tabula Rasa didn't live long. Lets hope it wasn't due to a "none-standard" none-fantasy genre. Otherwise this game will die the same. I will personally try this one out if they ever get to releasing it. I like Tabulas Rasa for a few first months and then it just lost me. Hope this one has a better chances out there, or I'll just stick to waiting Old Republic.
Ok, now are these actual screenshots? Or are they just being made to make the american public drool? Im not trying to be funny, I am seriously concerned. This game said it would be released 4 years ago. Now I'm not too suprised they delayed it a year, but 4 years? This game is in no way worth waiting for. I haven't been waiting for it, but just kind of keeping an eye on it. Its like the cat who is playing too close to the cliff. If you don't watch it, you won't have enough time to react when it falls.
I was super excited about this game a few years ago, but now I'm thinking it will be dated and DOA.
I'm more excited about Global Agenda and the Sony spy MMO, but I think the next big MMORPG will be DC Universe Online, that game looks sweet.
If Huxley makes an Xbox 360 debut, it might pick up some steam, but it seems like the only thing that console players want is crappy games that take absolutely no skill and/or games that boost gamerscore with trivially easy achievements.
Those screens look %100 in the style of the latest unreal engine. I can get similar stuff if I turn the GFX all the way up when I'm playing UT3 campaign. Nice to see they are still in business.
There is NO miracle patch.
95% of what you see in beta won't change by launch.
Hope is not a stategy. ______________________________ "This kind of topic is like one of those little cartoon boxes held up by a stick on a string, with a piece of meat under it. In other words, bait."
I was trying to remember where I had seen a similar creature before and then I suddenly remembered there was a large lumbering mob in Dungeon Runners that look very similar, with the huge wierd shaped hands.
they sure are taking their sweet ass time making this game. Awesome
It's hard to know that. It may be that they simply revealed it very early in development.
I think the first projected release date was Q2 2008. So, it is taking a longer then expected, but I agree with you, I think they revealed the game very early in development.
I heard about Huxley.... I guess about 3- 3 1/2 years ago. Nice to see it is still being made, but I am worried about it some since it seemed to lose alot of its hype and had problems early on. If it makes it through, I will try it out.
Major or Current Characters AC - The Brute lvl 85 macer -HG (retired) SWG - Lihone Su'alkn Master Ranger/ MCH - Flurry (Retired) EVE - Sulone - Cruiser Lover (Retired) LOTRO - Sandric lvl 50 Burg (and others)- Brandywine (Retired) GW2 - Sandric lvl 80 Thief - Dragonbrand (Retired) NeverWinter - Sandric lvl 60 Rogue - Dragonshard (Retired) Archage - Sandric lvl 50 everything - Naima (Active) Others (Lots) (Retired)
Eh, I saw videos of the asian beta and the game looks like an Unreal3 flavoured Guild Wars.
The battles didn't even look much different from regular UT3 games. Sorry, but the game just didn't look like a massively multiplayer online game at all.

Thought this game had gone to vaporware, so it's good to see some updates. Awesome to see vehicles!

However very nice screenie.
Ive been waiting for this game for YEARS. Im glad that they are still hard at work and not shutting the door on this game.
