Our IDEAL MMO Gameplay Imaginings...

OK, I was just thinking about how many different ideas we all have when we picture our ideal mmog, and so I thought I'd ask this sweet community to post their thoughts on how they imagine their ideal mmog gameplay (even all you lurkers :P ).  Start thinking about that dream game you always wanted to play, but was never made,

  • What would you do during a normal play session?
  • Is the UI something of note?
  • Whats the overall feel?
  • Are there naked chicks running around and jumping on your spawn?

Here's the idea. 

  1. Read the last post.
  2. Take any element of the that post (A character mentioned, the weather, a location, the ui, whatever)
  3. And lead off of that, while telling us about "A 'day' in the life of" YOUR ideal mmog experience. 

What do you imagine for YOU? 

( Keep current technology limits in mind [eg you are not on your holodeck] so people are on a similar page for the thread. Also, keep it relatively short so even the more attention deprived of us can read along too :), and most of all HAVE FUN IMAGINING! )

 

I'll start:

Man I love the character creator...I could spend hours in there on one character.  I just love the ability to create such a unique character right from the start.  Not only do I get to pick my race from any sentient race in the game, I get to change my looks, my starting gear, and most importantly...my skill proficiency with over 500 easy to navigate skill sets.

I made an ogre...he's massive strong for a human, but a little lacking compared to the big assed brutes around the starter area.  But that's OK.  You see, I specialized as much as possible with rune magic, took basic elvish, and plan on meeting up with my bud who made an elf.  We chose to start in an outlying village where we could pretty much have free reig...WTH?! Did that guy just blow up that building with a fireball?! What? He's the lord of the town now?! But last time I was here with my other character this place was all peaceful an shit...

I knew we should have started in the city...

 

UO,AC1&2,EQ1&2,DAOC,SB,SWG,FFXI, Horizons,EvE,E&B,AO,WoW,VG, Lineage,GW,TR,LotR,AoC,CoH,DDO a myriad of FtP...and still looking...

    A lot of people have made threads like this including myself. But I like how you put your own spin on it with the whole "day in the life of your mmo" thing.

    Here we go:

    Watching fights in the arena is one of my favorite ways to pass the time. "Dude check it out, that one's got a legendary sword! This is gonna be good." Watching the higher level characters beat the daylights out of each other.

    "Hey you up for a round after this?" You can't help but get psyched to go in and fight yourself.

    "Do you really want me to beat you again?" Especially when your buddy is always bragging about how much better than you he is. Well, I wonder if my new ax will help me out this time.

    "Wow you almost won, I'm impressed, nice new ax by the way." New gear doesn't matter much when your opponent is just plain better than you.

    "Just watch out next time you're history." There's always next time...

    New ax, and a new cloak, I added a blue dye to this one and now it looks awesome. Who says you can't kill monsters in style?

    Whew, I FINALLY beat that boss! Now to spend my new skill points. Extra melee damage all the way!

    I feel like making a new character, what should they look like? Let's see...I want his hair longer on that side, smaller nose, dark blue eyes, no this character isn't going to be THAT happy, let's fix that smile. I almost feel like I have too many options here, I can make this guy however I want.
