LF game like Shadowbane.

Basically since shadowbane is shutting down in 2 weeks i need a replacement. If you have played it and know of a game that is similar with FFA pvp with some loot or full loot with player cities etc etc. please let me know. Not AoC as it's not nearly that good and Darkfall is not an option atm. Well if you have any suggestions i would appreciate it.
I have played most games that are out and was thinking of DAoC but not sure about the population there.

Sadly the only similar game out there at the moment is darkfall and it blows. I cancled DF myself and went back to DAoC but not a live server if you know what i mean.
Looking for a new game to play
DAoC is an amazing game tbh it is at the top of all my lists when I say my favorite mmo hands down. However the servers arnt that great any more as they were in the day in short there are 5 servers currently running
2 Regular one has 2k people on at a time the other one seems to peek around low 1.2k (Highest Iv seen it) on a good day.
A classic server (This server removes one of the expansions known as Trials of Atlantis because many people did not like TOA and it also changed a few other minor things but I see like 1.4-2k on at any given time)
A server with full co-op and no pvp like 200-300 tops pretty empty server
and an FFA pvp server with like 50 people on a good day (TBH this server is trash no one is ever on but the same 50 people)
I would advise you go to the more populated regular server and the game is kind of empty at low lvls it pretty much DIY till 30+ then you might start seeing / grouping with people I havent played in a while but I am thinking about joining back up bc a friend of mine said on a god night theres 200-300+ people activly participating in pvp at a time (At different areas mind you dont expect to hit 50 and get in to a 100v100v100 fight =(....
The game is pretty easy to hit 40 most people I know who still play say they can solo 1-40 in a week or 2 with a few hours a day and 40-50 is when it gets a bit harder but still pretty fast game to 50.
But I am in the same position you are, I have thought about buying DF but can never seem to be on when the shop opens up and I am looking for a good pvp game to enjoy and I am currently sitting on the edge of returning to DAoC
(In case you are Uninformed) Mythic announced last year they are going to make an origins server and "fix" the game and take out all the shit that people said made the game fix rebalance it take out some classes that kind of thing and a large number of people have stated that when the server comes out that they will re sub DAoC right away so if this server comes out soon and meets expectations I imagine that to have quite a high pop on the server. But in the state of the economy I would not be supprised if DAoC was forced to pull the plug I would be deeply saddened and hope this does not happen but I cant say I would be suprised.
shadowbane was one of a kind. i have yet to see another game like it. wish i could be of more help

Well thanks for the info all, seems there is no alternative but going to DL the free trial of DAoC but not sure if it will satisfy my needs but have heard lots of good things about it so thought i should at least give it a try. Thanks again.

Shadowbane is free to play. It used to be pay to play then they switched it to free to play. It is a unique game and unfortunatly I will be out of an mmo to play as I finally found the right mmo for me to only see it will now be closing. I started playing about a month ago. The character creator iand building your charcater in game is second to none.
I am not sure what game to try now. I played EVE online to 10 million skill points and liked it but there was alot that was semi boring to me while playing so canceled about 2 years ago. Alot of the guild i was in quit and i did not feel like finding another guild.
UO was my favorite until Tram came out. Sadly they will probally never make a classic server for it.
