Simple question, will we need a Credit Card to use the free month?

    Yes, unless you purchase a game card.

    If i purchase the game card will i be able to use the free month?

    How do we know?

    I have played many online games and in most of them a credit card number is not "required" to play the free month. It will usually let you bypass the credit card number part if you dont want to do it and it will still let you play the game at least until the month is up. If you decide to use a credit card or game card later you can just go to the edit billing screen and change it.

    I am not saying that this is how WOW will be but SWG was like that and so was AO and EQ. I played them all for a month with no card number entry until I was sure I wanted to subscribe.

    Hope you're right, cause if not i'll have a wait a week before playing. I remember a couple of months ago,  when creating an account with the 7 days free trial of DAoC, I entered a random CC number and it always worked. Hopefully its the same for WoW. <cross fingers>
