Gone Fishing!

Have you guys seen the loot that's on the fishing drop tables? WOW!

Time to do some fishing! I've only dabbled lightly in this profession because of the limited time in beta, but I think I will seriously try this out.

I did try cooking and I enjoyed that too. The stat bonus from cooked foods was pretty cool.

Geeze. So many things to do.

I initially took up fishing as  passing fancy during OB and i was 'hooked' (pun intended) right from my first cast.

I spent many an enjoyable moment fishing & listening to my mp3's. Unfortunately i did not find any trainers to get me past lvl 150 in Teldrassil & Darkshore area. I hope this is not the case in retail.

Arg, those lucky rogues with lockpicking. Never have tried fishing. Wasn't sure what to do with my mage. I will do herbalism and alchemy. I hear I can also do fishing because it is a secondary profession. A lot of good drops there. Hope I get lucky.

Look no further than the official site for this information:

    http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/professions/

"In the World of Warcraft, there are two types of professions, primary and secondary. Every player may have as many Secondary Professions as he or she desires but will only be able to choose two Primary Professions. All professions also fall into three categories: gathering, production, and service."

Fishing is in fact a Secondary profession and so you can have it for sure!

Screenshots and videos are necessary for first impressions, but what you can't see in them are the things that matter the most.

I found a great place to go fishing, but not sure it is the best, and that is Moonglade. Caught an axe worth 1.5g and I was only lvl 17. Caught numerous Greater Mana and Healing potions. Plus, not one fish got away. The only drawback is that you have to be a Druid to get to Moonglade. The druid actually has a special portal skill to get there.

Fishing, first aid and cooking can only be trained up to 150 from trainers. This was changed in one of last patches in OB. HOWEVER. In order to get higher training you will need a book or find that special npc to do so.

It's all part of the charm of WoW.

Fishing was fun in this game. One of the major deciding factors for me to get this game. :)
