in World of Warcraft

On 436(otherwise known as seminole road) near the intersection of 434 Best Buy had WoW copies on the shelf. This is the apopka/altamonte springs area

    doh, it appears they took them off the shelves lol sorry guys (told my friend to go there and called me while he was there and said they were gone)

    Wow i'm like 5 minutes from there and I was about to walk out the door.  Thanks for updating your post image Well maybe some wal-marts around here will bring it out at midnight.

    3 walmarts around me are releasing their copies at Midnight.

    Unfortunetly 2 of them are trying to locate their shipment as we speak. image

     My Collectors edition will arive tomorrow before 3pm, but I have to work till 6pm... So i'm going to be hanging at Walmart tonight... the best place to hang out on a Tuesday night! image

    Yeah i'm gonna head up there, if I get my hands on two copies i'll hide one and post it here.  Like an easter egg hunt =).

    Noooooooooo! Walmart is evil! The reason they have low prices is that companies (their suppliers) have to move overseas for cheaper labor etc. just so they can compete and stay in business. So, they cause company X to close down, people lose their jobs, a Walmart comes to town, pays them lower wages and gives them crappier benefits. In one town, they moved onto a lot almost right next to a company they forced to move overseas. Lovely.

    They also seem to use a variant of the "bait and switch" technique." They have low prices on lots of items but similar items often cost more than at other stores. They get you in the store with the low advertised price and then, whammo! You might end up buying something that would be cheaper elsewhere.

    Bleh. I haven't shopped at a Walmart in several years and I doubt I ever will again after watching a piece on Frontline last week ("Is Walmart Good For America"). Christ, MOST stuff seems to be made overseas these days. Keep shopping at Walmart and others of its ilk and that trend will continue.

    Yep, I will be waking up at 10am tomorrow morning to get my copy. I would leave at midnight to get a copy from walmart but we have about 4 local areas flooded right now :(

    You guys are lucky I went to my local walmart and they dont get their copies till the $%#^&@^ 29th. A WEEK MORE???!?!?!? A WEEK MORE?!?!?!? Welll i resorted to pre-order on priority which costs me 20 bucks more =( dam my small town in Canada

    Too bad I can't get my copy tomorrow thanks to all of the bad weather and flooding everywhere where I live....Oh well, I guess I have to wait till the 24th or just wait till the weekend.image

    Well that was a bust, of the 3 local wal-marts (orlando) I heard 2 of them had less than 5 copies each, and the one I went to didn't have any and said to check back at 8 am.  There was at least 75 people waiting... It was pretty funny, like half my class was there (game design at full sail).

    Well I went to walmart, the one that had  copies.. turned out they had 5 total image. 2 guys were already there ahead of me and they lady at the counter was giving out tickets for those that showed up... I got the 3rd ticket image Then about 20 other people showed up and 18 of them were pissed.

    So i'm installing my new client and patiently awaiting the servers to come up. Word is 3am EST.

    Then tomorrow before 3PM EST, my collectors edition should arive by FEDEX.... Ahhh image

    Hahaha what are you gonna do with both?  You should of mentioned that to those 18 pissed off people... "Sweet, and i'm getting the collectors edition tomorrow"... Would have been pretty funny.  Ah well 10 am, guess i'll get some sleep now instead of later.

    It was getting kinda hairy in there 18 big dudes all pissed off cause they didnt get a copy... so i let it slide... :p My friend was going to sell his copy for $100. lo but changed his mind.

    Wow I thought they would have printed alot more of them than what it sounds like... hmm... I was planning on going and picking it up at best buy tommorow morning, maybe its just walmart being ghei and best buy will have loads of em.

    yeah, I picked mine up at wal-mart and they had a whopping 6 copies! Needless to say all 6 were sold at the stroke of midnight with several customers directed to other wal-marts that had "50 copies in stock."

    Screenshots and videos are necessary for first impressions, but what you can't see in them are the things that matter the most.
