It sounds like there's no reason for PVE

All of the main components of the game seem focused towards the benefits of PVP.  Is there any reason to go PVE if you can do elements of both in each one?

Not levels, no exp to be had off of that rotting orc.

That goes into the honor system though I believe which helps your ranking in PVP.  I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but according to everything I've read here and on other sites, PVE seems just like every other MMORPG where the PVP stuff seems more fresh and original.

No, not at all.  The honor system is a supplement of PvP not to be mistaken with raw exp earned from quests and PvE.  While it has been mentioned that plenty of PvE content is coated around the PvP content (such as the newly released information concerning quests in Battlegrounds) it still is PvE content...just more dangerous.

In comparison, you could say that trying to do the PvE content in Stranglethorn Vale on a PvP ruleset server to be fairly dangerous due to the make-up of the zone.  The PvE content in the coming battlegrounds could be said to be far, far more difficult because of the directed PvP intent of people entering those areas.

    But...still PvE, honor is seperate.

Another person who never played the game has no clue what there talking about.. Cause if he did he would know that WOW boast some of the most amazing dungeons, incounters, Mobs, ect that you will ever find in any MMORPG...Another reason to PVE is to get all those awesome weapons/gear/equipment that drop off of those MOB's, you can be the most skilled player ever but if you equipment sucks compared to those yor fighting agianst you loose..

Hell I cant wait untill I can get my toon high enough so I can get back in the Deadmines.. Which was one of the most amazing dungeons I have ever seen.

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith

PvP honour is basically like the ladder system in Diablo2, were you get points and rankings. You do not gain exp towards leveling towards your next level. Some of the best gear you will get in the game will come from Elite quest instances which is pure PvE. You also need cash flow to repair, buy items etc, which nets pure PvE encounters.

It sounds like theres no reason for PvE... because there isnt. Believe it or not WoW was built around the WC storyline which is completely built around faction vs. faction combat. This game was built for PvP and my theory is thats why the leveling curve is so easy. They want a lot of max levels to get some awesome pvp going and I'm willing to bet the expansions add a lot of end-game content... especially for PvP.

What contect is in PVE that isn't in PVP and vice versa?

Well, like everyone before me has said, you need to PvE to gain item and experiance which would be unattainable in PvP.  PvE also has dungeon crawls which are truely amazing.

Now, if you mean the difference between the servers, then PvP is for those who like to look over their back alot, while PvE is for those who don't want to have to spend time making sure the enemy isn't stalking them.
