make a backup of the chinese pak folder and put it on your desktop..download the english pak and put it in the l1on folder delete chinese folder and rename the english folder the same name as the chinese folder
Do you have your System set to English (USA) As in, your computer operating system in the Control Panel/Regional Settings?
I know that was my problem. ^^ Just a suggestion.
For some machines, if your settings are already on "English (US)", click off to another language setting, then back on "English (US)" and hit apply. It's very simple, but worked for a couple of us.

I took that link down, try downloading one of the ones I have posted with just the Enu.PAK -- then place the Enu.PAK into the L10N folder.

Did you make changes to versionInfo_AION.INI file and made it read only?

I just dropped the enu.pak file into the L10N folder and left everything else exactly as it was. Worked fine right out of the box.
When you try to load the game does it load and run but in Chinese or refuse to load at all?

have you copied the chs folder and renamed it?
you should have 4 files in the end, one CHS folder, one ENU folder, and the two .pak s.
and set english US in the control panel.
