1) This game have potential!!!

Yes, i do agree that because that games is being push too early for release by Publisher and that Devs hope to have a game that is WoW wana-be thereby have a bigger piesce of the pie...
But if we players!!! truly stand together and say NO!!!! Do not release such a crap!!! Than this gene will not fail so much...

This is from WoW forum, i know, but what im trying is to save this gene from going into oblivion when we hvnt even bring it to be more popular to other platform, and thereby bringing more players to it and will greatly add more years to this game....

and on topic, yes, what you say is true, but its not new news, people have been saying it for years. and honestly i'd sometimes rather pay for an unfinished game than wait another 6 months, simply because I want to have some fun.

I don't think its the players fault for the game getting released too early at all. It is the players fault that when it is released too early, that they whine a bitch about everything problem they can think of. People can't be content with the content and this and that. If everyone wasn't so damned negative they might be able to see the good in the game and let it out weight the bad.
Arc, I think you mean genre, although the genes of a lot of people playing this genre have probably severely failed them. Maybe those genes should be allowed to pass away into oblivion. I'm not an advocate of eugenics, but these forums do make me sympathetic at times to how Justice Holmes felt in the Buck v. Bell decision.
Yes, as i state in my thread that i do agree that its the publisher fault to release a game early, but its the players fault that justified that! ( Giving all kinds of excuses) If we no longer accept this kind of things and dont buy the game, than they will no longer release it early....
So its still our fault...

I totally agree with you. In my opinion, I believe that players don't give games enough time after launch to adapt. If I like the feel of the game at launch, I'll usually stick to it at least until the first major patch to see in which direction the Devs go.

This right here i have been preaching to deaf ears for years. I think i almost coined the phrase stockholme syndrome when speaking about gamers making excuses on behalf of these gaming companies, since i have been using the term for over 5 years. I could be wrong about that of course
Gamers have gotten so used to being handed a buggy unfinished beta product disguised as a finished game that they now think that this is a standard we should just accept be marry and shut up about. God forbid you should point out the game needs another round of beta bug crushing without running into a wall of flame. Is it "i need my newest MMO' Fix I'm willing to deal with anything" type of behavior?. I never understood it and never will. After spending 50 bucks i don't sit down and say to myself. Hey this is quite buggy but i am just happy i have something entirely new. My 50 bucks is just a down payment for them to eventually fix or add the content that is stated on the box.
The most stupid comments i usually read as a retaliation is "It's just 50 bucks man. If you can't spend that much you shouldn't be gaming in the first place. Start collecting golf balls instead it's cheaper". They obviously don't apply any rational thinking to this argument. It's not just 50 bucks. Once you set your sight on a new game ..you need a new game. If a game doesn't cut it because it's a buggy unfinished failed to deliver piece of garbage..You have to go and spend another 50 bucks on a game. Now it's a 100 bucks your out. That's not even adressing that $50 is a completely unacceptable loss for most of us. If you go buy a faulty product or a product that doesn't do as advertised you take it back to the store even if it cost $10. Most responsible adults does not like throwing money away specially not 50 bucks. If you are one of the lucky few that doesn't care about that kind of money i have a Paypal account. Feel free to send me some.
If we had some decent return policies when it comes to games this would be a non issue. As it stands it's a caveat emptor system that 100% caters to the sellers not the buyers. In the majority of cases we can't return these games because of used CD keys and whatnot. I couldn't give a rats ass about companies protecting their intellectual properties when it comes at a cost to basic consumer rights

How long does a game needs to be make? 4 years?
During that period we already know where the game is heading... but releasing an un-finish games is no excuse for it!!!
After the game is release its call patch, patch deals with what? Bugs!!!... but not the main content, the direction of the game which the Devs already set instone BEFORE release...

I totally agree with you.......as long as I am allowed to only pay a portion of my $15 monthly for only those parts that are good and the devs pay me the remaining $14 for the parts that suck.

Yeah, it's pretty much all true. The players accept and excuse failed releases so the publishers commit them. What's really funny is that after the fall of nearly every hyped major release in the past 5 years people are still surprised at each failure.
I disagree. Lich King was not finished. Instead of delaying release they released WOTLK with only one proper raid dungeon (one that was rehashed on top of it all). Lich King was pushed out the door by Activision just to rake in X-Mas sales. It isnt the same Blizzard you used to love.
