Hackers

dlooneydlooney Member Posts: 306

I am just curious what is with major hacking popping up all of a sudden. First there was a ton of computers which were breached and then just recently apparently some of the schematics for the f-35 fighter were hacked. I know that there has always been hacking rampant, but I have not seen such out in the open hacking.

A case is being made to shut down the existing internet and restart a new Chinese style internet. This will be done under the pretext of security concerns. As if classified information is on machines connected to the internet. Obviously a subversive setup being rolled out. Theres a big anti-cyber-terrorism event coming up. Expect to see things like this snowball in preparation for the changes to come.

  • Sometimes I think hackers are just bored and like a challenge. I've heard of people hacking sensitive databases just for the thrill, and I guess if you're good at it I can understand why you would. As a kid I loved to sneak into places I wasn't supposed to be in, never doing anything malicious, just enjoying the feeling of having gone somewhere I wasn't allowed.

Sometimes, getting someone's login details is as easy as asking for them. This generally doesn't work on older players, but younger players can sometimes fall for it.   Sometimes the scammer will impersonate a GM in order to do this. Either way, once they have your password they'll ask you to log out of your account for a few minutes so they make the changes they promised. Of course, what they're actually doing is changing your password, which, depending on the game, may require you to be logged out in order for it to be changed.

Senator Rockafellar said recently that we'd be better off without the internet due to the security concerns.  The presidential helicopter schematics or something supposedly got "hacked" a couple months ago.  BBC is pushing storys on internet crime, hacking, internet terrorism and the like every day now.  Somethings about to happen with all this.

I think its not a problem with the internet, but a problem with the contractors that are working on this project.  They should not have classified information accessible from the internet.  They should have a closed network for this type of work, which they did for the important stuff on a joint fighter.

The expansion of internet monitoring just like a good many other things will never solve the problem of hackers and only incur additional costs for ISPs, slow down internet connections, and invade privacy.

I know this is a strange question, but do you have a copy of those F-35 blueprints?

Closest thing I could find that was relevent. Nothing to show this is a "subversive setup" at all.

I don't expect to see anything remotely as nutty. About the only thing I see people pushing as legitimate is that zombies will attack soon and they are hoarding guns and ammo for it. Proof.

A lot of the same people saying this nonsense about subversion are the same people pushing this real "zombies are going to attack us all" movement, lol. Crackpots.

They're sweet, little bobby mailed me a copy last week because a digtial transfer would be too easy to track.

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

This. If you have classified information on a computer that has access to the internet, or has the ability to access the internet, then you're asking for it to be stolen.

Exactly.  Which is why we can be certain that it didn't happen that way.  The Pentagon is not dumb.  They understand how the internet works, they practically invented it.  So how does this happen?  On purpose.  Thats how.
