Fun changes since last fall?

Hello!

I was a fan of AoC from launch until about September (...I think - it was before the PVP system at least) when I felt there wasn't really anything for me left to do in the game. I had reached level 80, played the dungeons, done some PVP, etc. It was entertaining for a while but in the end repetition killed the fun for me.

In PVP there were some classes I could easily beat and some classes I just didn't bother with (stunlocked + clothwearer rarely ends well). All in all, I'd say I was pretty good at it, though. I really liked my HoX.

Questions:
Has there been fun big changes except for the new zone(s) and the PVP system?
How cool IS the new PVP system? Is it enough to keep a level 80 character occupied?
What has happened to the HoX? Are they still useless against barbarians? :)

Replies much appreciated, guys. Thanks.

New content has been added that makes leveling more smooth.  Basically no grinding

Raids have been mostly fixed (not bugged any more), but itemization is still terrible, but should be fixed in the next few months.

Most of the seiging bugs have been fixed, but the pvp system is lacking.   very simplistic and easily exploited.

If you were 80 before and got bored at endgame, there really isn't that much different now except more things work properly.
