I have a quad core (2.4ghz)6600, 4 Mgs RAM with a GeForce 9300 GE. Can I run EQ2 smoothly with that?

Even though your video card is weak, I would say you could run the game smoothly with high performance and some tweaking to improve graphics.

I ran EQ2 smoothly with a lot less than that.

If you're calling that weak, then i wouldn't dare asking what you'd call mine, a geforce 6600 :P.

I still run the game fine though, and with some tweaking it looks almost as good as the highest setting.

You would probably be surprised how close in performance a 6600 and a 9300 GE would be.

The 4 MB's of RAM might slow you down =P.

Skip Cpu shadow and you will be doing fine.

A good GPU setup (4870x2+4870) dosent improve the the game at all compaird to an single gpu (4870). The game is designed for CPUs with alot of power :)

yap, the performance is about equal, and honestly a 6800 may run better than the 9300.

OP if you want somthing a bit smoother this is be best card you can get FOR THE MONEY.  $85 bucks http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102822

I would highly suggest upgrading that vid card becuase that is a huge bottle neck with that pretty good system you got.

I am calling that card weak for the cards out today. My first card was also a 6600 and loved it. But since video cards are very cheap now for good performance, why bottleneck a very decent system with such a card.
