Default Shop opening - GMs - Ban notices
Tomorrow April 23d we will open up the shop at 3pm GMT for those that want to get the Darkfall Client. If you want to get the Darkfall Client, visit

and create an account if you haven't done so already.
There have been several bogus corruption accusations against the Darkfall GMs on these forums ranging from them causing clients to crash, causing server crashes while taking sides during sieges, to refunding items and money.
First of all GMs cannot crash the server, or cause a client to crash. They cannot create items or money. All their actions and communications are monitored and logged. We re-checked all chat logs and GM activity for every report mentioned in the forums or reported to us at the help desk, over the time periods that the questionable conduct was supposed to have taken place and found absolutely nothing. Because of this, any public accusations on the forums accusing GMs or the company of any such activities will be removed, and everyone contributing in the thread will be banned from the forums.
GM activity is always monitored by us. If you would like to report GM conduct, then you should use support.darkfallonline.com to do so if you have proof of misconduct.
Some players report receiving ban notices. You should check where these notices come from. Everyone should be familiar with phishing scams and how to protect themselves. You are ultimately responsible for the security of your own account. All our ban emails come from aventurine.gr domains they simply inform you of the ban and do not require a reply or any action on your part. We never ask for information and we do not offer an appeals process. If you’re banned and try to log into the game, you will get an “account banned” notice.

Are you serious? Haha, not that I'm even interested much anymore, but I don't think AV will last long with having customer support like this. "Don't say anything negative we'll ban the shit out of you!!!"
If this sort of Naziism was accepted in the free world, we'd all be oppressed and miserable. You're running a game: fun and entertainment. If you're going to do anything say "o yea we took care of that shit" and lie or something. Don't threaten your customer base you dumb fucks.
I never said anything bad about AV or Darkfall or it's staff, and I've always defended them to the core through the all the "vaporware" and bs. This company is just another example of a downward spiraling MMO release BY THE BOOK. This official post just proves it and shoes how much they really don't know what the hell they're doing. Good luck to all those who've invested money in this. The Idea of Darkfall, RIP.

yeah threatening bans like that is a bit much imo, and not a real good way to get the unhappy portion of your playerbase back to being happy customers.

There is a difference between FALSE ACCUSATIONS and negative feedback.
Grow up for one second and read the words on the page. Clearly states:
-All accusations were false after close examination of every accusation
-Anyone who tries to accuse a GM of this on the forums will be banned
-If you want to accuse a GM send an e-mail with proof of the misconduct of the GM

EDIT: Also, why on earth would you want a company which you are shelling money to lie to you? What kind of logic are you even following here? They do know what they are doing. They are defending their GMs from bullshit false accusations. Thats all this post says. For a company you defended so much, you sure don't know jack about it. You are just as blind as anyone who you were defending against.

Actually Aventurine can't monitor vent. If a GM wanted to plan out something seedy in nature (and I'm not saying they are, but if...) Vent would be the way to do it without being traced.
I like the companies hard edge approach, not taking any sh*t from players that cause a disturbance, but Tasos's threats really make him look unprofessional.
Tasos hasn't acted professional in 8 friggin' years, why would he start now?
Some players dont act very professional either. We would not have those problems if the idiotes didnt play the game. I guess shit happens in every MMO.
Its a shame but a game that offers the mechanics that Darkfall does will always attract an increased amount of idiots.
I don't think it's so much the fact that Darkfall has FFA PvP with full looting, but the fact that it really doesn't have anything else. UO at least had crafting and social activities. In Darkfall it's nothing but killing and politics that lead to more killing.
This game is the biggest pile of trash besides DnL to have launvhed in the last few years... It will be either totally dead or a ghost town by the end of the year if not sooner..
There's absolutely no reason to play this.. It's featureless.. contentlesss... and is nothing more than a poorly done combat simulator... and the graphics and animations and sound sucks to boot!

I do play, and I do think that the devs and GM's are shady . . .
I'm no Darkfall fanboy, (I'm a WoW player!) .. but I think the devs are absolutely right in this decision.
They have an email address for players to complain about GMs; banning players for posting false accusations and grandstanding on an open forum, that's 100% justifiable.
It's not as if they're saying "don't accuse dodgy GMs!" .. they're just saying "accuse dodgy GMs the right way instead of spamming forums with unsupported accusations and bile.

The problem is that AV isn't honest. They will never admit ANY problems. They go out of their way to say their GM's are perfect, nobody is hacking, and the game is perfectly stable. Here is what actually happens ingame
1. I joined DF on the third day after it 'launched'. I played for 2 days without a guild. I saw a ton of people macroing skills overnight in almost every city. I experienced a ton of people using the 'auto loot' hack and loot stuff right from under me while trying to finish the newbie quests. I was frustrated, and ready to quit. Then I want to the forums and mentioned my concerns
2. I was invited to join one of the bigger guilds. I did. With 30 mins of being in the guild, I was given links to where I could download the stamina hack and the auto-loot hack. I was basically told if I wanted to be able to finish quests, I need the auto-loot hack... if I wanted to be able to compete in pvp, I needed the stamina hack. After that, I was told where the guildmembers were and ask to join them. For the next two days, my large guild did nothing but kill some mobs that were bugged. They respawned every 8 seconds, were quickly 'trapped' on terrain, and killed in perfect safely. At all times, there were probably 20-40 of my guildmates hunting those same mobs. After two days in the guild ( my 5th day overall), my guild was one of the first to have a city.
If you listen to Tasos talk, the hacks and exploits aren't widespread, almost nobody uses them, and people get banned quickly if they do. that is simply not true. The hacks are so prevalent that people post videos of the game bragging about the combat, but fail to edit out their use of hacks... because its just so commonplace. The large guilds all encourage new members to download the most common hacks.
Tasos and AV are very very unprofessional. The game has a very small playerbase (about 5k concurrent total).. and more than likely the GMs are some of the most devoted players who have very strong guild ties.
One of the more notable GM 'encounters' was when a large group was on the way to destroy an enemy city. The gm asked a player 'where are you heading' and when the player told them the target city, suddenly players started 'falling' through the terrain and getting stuck/disconnected. Players posted movies of it happening and thought it was odd that it only happened after a GM asked a player what the target was.
AV is unprofessional and Tasos has lied about so much already ( we will have an open beta and free trial, we will never announce a release date until we are sure we can meet it). Look at the DF website.. two months after launch, you can still sign up for the beta!! Look at the features list. 75% of the 'features' on the website are not in the game, and this despite the fact that Tasos said the game was 'feature complete' back in November.
After all this, can you really just say " I'm glad Tasos is being so hard on people who complain". He is just saying 'everything is fine' and ignoring all the hacks, exploits and biased GMs because he has no way to actually deal with them.
I think the whole company is a POS... The game is dobale even for me, but let's say I have a preorder acocunt here I am still not using. I did play for 3 weeks tho..

Daarco, Daarco, Daarco.... you dont have to play the game to make a judgement on it. All you have to do is go look at gameplay videos, forums, other players reviews, mmo sites etc etc for ppl to make a judgement for themselves if this is the game for them.....
