My whole 100+ guild quit Age of Conan. Any ideas on what game we should try next?
I'm in a pvp guild of 100+ active players. We recently all quit Age of Conan because we got bored. We are looking for a new home. We are only interested in gameplay and PvP (AoC didn't deliver either one).
Right now we might go for EVE, although some members would like to try Darkfall or Chronicles of Spellborn.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Chronicles is F2P so download it and try it out, I have its not bad, not explored it much yet
Darkfall for a 100+ guild will take you a long time to get into since the 'purchase' of the game is such a lottery
Best bet is to try Eve, I can give you 21 day trial for the game If you want to try it out (instead of the normal 14 day) just PM me and I will sort it for you
there is a dearth of PvP games on the market atm (most are PvE with PvP tacked on), My recommendation is EvE as 100+ Corp will be quite large and able to do well in PvP

if you go to a european server of tcos with 100ppl ud prolly tripple the population there
but seriously tcos is a great game, but the core pvp attractions like shard conquest or arena tournaments are not in yet.
coming there from aoc myselve (and war bevore that, and lineage2 bevore that) i view tcos more like a vakation game till somethng like aion or blade&soul goes live.
tcos has all the right basis for great pvp especially when you look at the fast paced, manual aiming combat but the game is not as high budget as aoc and you really have to love the game and trust the devs (wich i do) to stay happy there.

there really isnt nothing good out there, you guys played and probably conquered AoC, but truley, there is nothing that is out there unless you lower your standards on gaming and try out Darkfall, but it would be probably better to play Diablo or something.
errrrr if you actually want proper information maybe try posting this thread on the general forums rather than the AoC forum? these kind of hidden agenda threads are getting tiresome....

My guild and I(not 100 members) left AoC about a month ago to head back to swg and wait for tor. As some have mentioned not a lot of mmos out there really atm. EvE is truly a complex game and you won't be able to rush through like we were able to do in AoC. PvP is massive...wait MASSIVE!!!!!!!! Ahhh, better lol. 1 live server and it holds better than all of soe's/Funcom's servers lol.
Plus besides skilling up ur skills there is a lot of space content to explore and techs, ships, and etc. Plus EvE has one of the best player driven Economies out there atm. With a guild ur size and once u get up on higher tiers of skills u'll be a mean, lean, fighting corp!
I'm asking this on AoC forums because there are other people here too who quit the game for same reasons as I did and maybe they have found something that would be fun for players who are bored with AoC.

I agree - a 100+ guild suddenly popping up in EVE will have an impact from day 1 - you will be dec'd immediately. (war declared). Though to form a guild you will have to train up leadership - several of you will - I would form several corps and make an alliance with them as you can. Have miners in 1 corp and fighters in 1 or 2 others. Research the races for the fighting style you like best - each race has it's own subtley different style. use EVEMON to plan your skill training...and there is a battleclinic link for each ship type for builds.
NOTE BENE: EVE is not an easy game - it requires research and dedication. Quite frankly you will have your asses kicked and lose ships long before you become a presence to be reckoned with...but it will be fun and worth it getting there.

i think Eve is the worst game ever....lol i played it for a month and i quit cuz it sucked to much. but i just started age of conan bought my time last night
EVE is not for everyone. It is the game you liked the least - not the worst game ever. Many people enjoy EVE. I think it just requires a certain sophistication that you seem to be lacking. No problem, I assure you that EVE will not fail over you not liking it. My opinion.

Really? I would have guessed you could get better information about a cross-section of pvp based games on a forum for all games than a forum just for one on which the majority of players that will have left will not be visiting these forums anymore. I could probably understand it better if the reason you stated your 100 active player-strong guild had left wasn't that you were "bored". Also what was the name of your guild?
EvE is probably your best bet at the momment, esp with the new expansion comming out soon. It is suppose to significantly decrease the dreaded learning cliff that EvE is renowned for, and allow you to get into the mix faster.

AoC has some of the best pvp out there for now, be it sieges or world pvp. What was the name of your guild?

It requires a certain amount of sophistication to druge through a poorly made UI, and to enjoy a second job you have to pay someone to do.
funny thats what most people say about ALL MMOs. why grind through levels in AoC or WoW when you can shoot people in UT? you just sound bitter.

No major guilds on any US-server have left, and claiming to have 100+ active members leaving would mean your guild is of decent size and being a pvp guild as you say would mean your guild would be pretty well known. So somethings not right here...
As you posted this in the AoC forums, I assume its just another aoc hate but can't please them all.
If your actually looking for a new pvp focused game, theres not much out there thats new to recommend. EvE, EQ2.... TCOS has a free starter area atm but also is still under the works and alot still needs to be added to the game.... you could try the Aion Chinese OB, there are nice walkthroughs... I have some guildies playing around with it and only heard great things so far.
Not sure if you've played WaR.... not much out there man atm unless you want to start fresh in a game thats been out for quite some time. (DAOC/L2/etc)

Eve Online is an awesome game. (Once you get a handle of it)
The learning curve might be the worst part of it, but once you get by that, its awesome.

Good PvP (Territorial) The best pvp any game out there offers. They have it set up so there are consequences to death, unlike every other game.
Probably one of the most coolest games out there right now.
If you wanted a 21 day trial rather than the 14 day trial offered by CCP through their site,

If you think that all 100+ players are going to go to the same game just because some people who were in the same guild in a game they don't even play anymore went to that game, you're delusional. If you tried to move them all from one guild to another just to change the guild name, you'd lose quite a few. For that matter, it's quite unlikely that all 100+ would even quit all at once.
But if you want a game that actually has good PvP, try Guild Wars.

I gave the EVE Online trial a go the other week as I had played it a few years back and really could not get my head around the UI or any of the game mechanics. However, I had heard that the new expansion brought a brand new tutorial to help new players get into the game. I can say that the new tutorial really did help and I really was enjoying the game for the first few hours. I know most MMO's are click this unit, click this button to attack, but EVE really does bring a whole new level to point and click. The combat is boring, and impossible to get any amount of enjoyment out of. Sure, if it involves 100 ships fighting it would be more fun than 1 pirate ship, but 100 ships is still 100 ships to click on and watch my ship float towards them, then orbiting slowly around whilst watching the most boring landscape possible....space.
I really recommend you play something a little more fun and exciting. Personnally i haven't played it in years, but maybe something like City of Heroes, or Everquest 2?.
OP, would you consider a WoW re-roll? I am assuming you played WoW before lol

i m sorry i dont believe the op simple as that . you d never get 100 people in a guild quit at the same time . maybe whats really happened is the guild has disbanded and he and a couple of other friends have decided to try something new . that aside there are some other mmos out there worth playing . warhammers a bit of short term fun if you like pvp . its proberbly only got 2-3 months play in it before you d get bored though . warcraft is nt a bad pve experiance but its endgame is pretty awful at the moment . i would avoid lord of the rings like the plague though if i were you its nice to look at but boring as hell to play . as for mmos outside the fantasy genre eve is ment to be good as is city of heroes/villains . other than that i would give up mmos until aions out and try that .
Are you some kind of cult or a strange religion? How can a 100+ active players leave all at the same time because all got bored at the same moment.
Well, if you're really that unified and want a solid PvP, then I'd recommend EVE as some others did. There's no other good PVP game out there.
REALITY CHECK
My own Clan has left Lineage2 not so long ago and we are currently playing two mmo's while we wait for AIONs NA release. they are RF Online http://www.playrf.com/ and Ace Online formerly known as Space Cowboys Online http://ace.subagames.com/
They have for now enough PvP to keep us interested and they didnt take forever to get into the action
PVP and game play? I suggest you to try darkfall online and mortal online when it will come out. Personally, i didnt like Df because of he's useless grinding. I heard mo will not goo too deep on spending hour to be competitive on pvp so MO will be the next home for me. If you dont like mmorpg fps and too much realist, mo is not the game for you, but trust me, this game is your last hope.
The 2 other games that you can try is earth rise and if you dont like to lose your gears while you pk, fallen eath is for you.
