Ingame view (If you have played PLZ read and reply)

in World of Warcraft
My wife plays MMO's with me image. However she cannot handle first person view at all virtigo and all.  So before I buy I need to know REALITY of playing view. For example Shadowbane she can play 3rd person at all time never a need to first person. SWG truely third person viable. EQ NOT viable third person play. Diablo was obviously ok for her. So, if you understand where I am coming from and have played please reply, Can WoW be played easily thiord person view at ALL times (like in dungeons and such where EQ ya really cant) Thanks sooo much.

    The camera control is similar to SWG, except it always stays behind the character. You cant rotate it around to see your face.

    I can't think of any time where 1st person is used.  You can use I think the 7 and 1 on your keypad to zoom in and out of your 3rd party view to make it a 1st person. But unless that's done by the user I think it's 3rd person all the way.

    I always played in 3rd person and i had no problem!....just scroll your move back and you get a nice view....when you cannot see something, right-click then drag your mouse and you see everything...without disturbing the angle of your char...i found it great!

    Um, if your back is against a wall, your character turns transparent. That is perhaps the only situation where you may get close to 1st person.

    MUCH more like Horizons. You never have to get too close. You CAN rotate your camera around by holding the left mouse button, but it doesn't stick there.

    No it doesn't. You can view your character from all angles.

    Really? how? When I right click and swivel around, my character turns at the hips for about 45 degrees and then starts taking baby steps around. There's probably a key binded to some camera angle, isn't there?

    You can play third person all the time in WoW unless ya need to be Ninja looting ;) .. then FPS mode helps alot.
