After the headstart, 2 severs and much renown and boring farming, I have come to the conclusion that this game need some major redesign to work. The sides need to be kept in balance or the game is not fun. Mythic has not found a solution to this issue, so I will play another game until they can make it work. The game has potential for sure, but it needs to be fixed.

Been nice playing with you, will miss you and reilly a lot.

Game mismanagement and developer retardation seem to abound in this game. Players are leaving WarHammer by droves daily, its days are numbered. Such a shame the game had potential. I put in a game feedback form suggesting they update their resumes; they cant stand around and scratch their heads wondering what happened when they have no player base in the future. Who knows maybe they will get their head outta their azz or the retards will get fired and the game will turn around; stranger things have happened. I guess it shows how stupid they really are when they see accounts dwindling and they start up promotionals for recruiting instead of fixing the game problems. How retarded is that? I mean come on, players had to tell them to allow mounts in Vale, are they really that stupid or have I set my expectations too high?...... expecting something so blatantly obvious would get noticed by a development team? EVERYONE would say their first vale run......Gee I wish I could use my mount! Guess I could rant on and on as the list of problems with WarHammer is overwhelming but bottom line is......maybe I'm the idiot for giving them my coin.

If anyone is thinking of buying this game........DON'T DO IT UNTIL THEY FIX IT!!!!!!.......... you will be throwing money down the drain but even worse experience frusturation beyond your worse nightmares.

i have 5 days left on  my account and im sure its not going to go anywhere

i picked a blackguard as my main and they did not get the class in balance with all the other classes.  , the spossed date as to when they will fix the class is in june for patch 1.3 ... but seeing how i dont think i will return to this stupid game because they don't care about their customers. makes me even wonder  why they even came out with the class to begin with.

as for right now . im just looking for a decent mmo that have pvp and army vs army action with good gameplay and a necromancer pet class..

im not going back to daoc. its ran by  the same idiots from mythic.

not doing wow. thats a pve game and they don't have  a necro class

eq2 might be my choice or city of villians again

i've got guild wars but i hate the pvp in the game,. to many stupid people running around with wiki builds cause they cant come up with something original  and only want to win cause they suck.

not going to any grind house mmo, or one with no people playing or point and click game also.

seems like there is no game out there thats like that.

maybe eq2 might have some intresting fights on the pvp server , but then again , eq2 dose have the  pve crowd that either plays scouts  that are all lvl 9000 and fight only lowbies when they feel liek they can win.

i dont know, i just wish there was something out there for me to play.

Warhammer online is a great game, and I don't see people leaving in droves. I am guild recruiter and to tell you the truth I have seen a pick up of players on my server.

I do feel you OP, but I think your burnt out and need a break and play another game for a bit. We all need that some times.

Good luck, and people if you read this thread, disregard the trolls. Try the game yourself on the free trial.

I agree.  My server is much busier in even the remote areas lately.  Cant wait for the next phase of the live event.

Why do you think anyone who posted before you was trolling. I read 3-4 posts by players who shared what they were not liking about the game, but to you they are trolls.

And much of what they've posted is pretty much true. Perhaps you don't agree with them, but their experience seems to be one shared by more and more people every day.

OP, there are other games out there, and more due out any day. Take a break and don't worry, you'll find a new one that you enjoy soon enough.

It is very easy to see the number of players in a tier and 7 warbands versus 2 is a problem in my book. Using that data I would challenge your comment of a "baseless assumption"! If you disagree I am certain you have never faced those numbers and/or do not know how to find the data. BTW, you are incorrect rule #1 of PvP is "Kill the enemy"!.....DC

There are a lot of design issues and I've given the game fault where fault is due in the past.

In spite of it all, it's could still be a fairly good MMORPG. However, what is completely killing the game is the population imbalance. The worrisome thing is that not only have they done nothing to directly address it, the recent changes to oRvR and even the design of the current Live Event completely favor the overpopulated side! The members of the overpopulated faction are rewarded at a much higher rate then the disadvantaged side, which means they not only have an advantage in numbers but in individual character progression as well.

Players who get tired of being on the greatly disadvantaged side are either re rolling to the dominant faction of leaving the game entirely. This, of course, makes the imbalance progressively worse.

There needed to be some balancing mechanism from the start. As the game has evolved, the need has only increased. Now, the imbalance of the population is so great it's hard to imagine how they can tip it back into balance.

So far, Mythic has turned a blind eye to one of the most obvious and damaging problems with the game. They better wake up and get very creative with a solution before it's too late.

So, what is the "much of what they've posted is pretty much true".  They make vague comments about balance, and the "proof" they offer of the problems the game has is rapidly declining subscription numbers, which they do not back up in any way, shape, or form.

Perhaps you, Kyleran, can fill us all in on the "truth".  Do you have some information no one else has regarding sub numbers?  I can say that I think I've witnessed more people playing than less on my server, but I'm not stupid enough to make grand claims on whether or not the game overall is gaining or losing subs.  Not unless I had some objective proof, which I do not.

They are troll posts because they make allegations, but offer no proof, and offer nothing constructive - just "they better fix X or else".  Childish to say the least.

Nice job on making yourself a part of it.

Not that I feel inclined to look it up right now but I can guarantee you I can find proof of WAR's numbers sinking from 750k+ initial sales + 3 months of sales to 300k+ by the end of december *AND* a statement from Mark Jacobs himself saying a lower than 50% conversion rate from sales is *very very* low for the MMO industry.

The rapid decline has all but been proven already, the question that stands is if they still are in a steep decline or have they stabilized or even slightly recovered in the last few months (in the US/EU).

I can find those as well - the statements being made here are about the current time however (read: ~April 2009).  Do you have anything to offer on the current time frame, because that's what the OP and others are making claims about, and what they are baselessly using as "proof".

Yeah.  I stopped playing a few months ago.  I still didn't cancel, and might play for 20 min, but thats about it.  WAR had the potential to be a good game, it's too bad.  Mythic should really have thought things through more.

Why were all the quest/pve zones split in half?  You almost never see the enemy faction unless it's a higher level player.  You almost have to go to the RvR lakes.  I understand  that is what the game is about, but it gets boring.  Every keep you take is the same, no matter what tier, or zone.  You wack away at a door, then another door, and kick this dudes ass real quick.

SCs are fun (the best thing in WAR imo), but there is no real benefit to doing the objectives in them, other than to win quickly.  If a person decides to do the objective, he will get less renown.  PvP is fun, but SCs are supposed to be mini games, and without people doing the objectives, they all feel the same.

Another thing that sucks is WAR is all about zerging.  I understand this is a "WAR"  but it gets old fast.  Whoever has the most numbers wins 99% of the time.  There is no real strategy to capturing zones.  Go from point A, B, C, D, E, F, hold or gain enough VP, move on.  If there is no resistance, it's just hacking at doors and waiting most of the time.

Most importantly!  Why the hell does the game still lag so much?  I have a PC that can definitely handle WAR, yet I have to run on the lowest graphic settings to even do any big ORVR/Forts, and even IC/Altdorf (which are boring as well).

    Good post, OP.

It's quite obvious by your RR, that you've seen everything just about that this game can offer (Guessing you didn't see a Franz/T'C capture). It's also quite obvious by the way you posted that you loved WAR and had plenty of hope to play as long as you did. I really don't understand why all the open hostility towards you from some posters in this thread (quite obvious who they are) when you state you are quitting because in your obvious skilled experience, the game still has major issues.

I think it's wholly unfair for a few here to just boil it down to "He's burned out, go take a break", when they know nothing of you and your gaming habits. I certainly don't think someone who's has RR68 over 7 months would be 'burned out', as that is a natural rate of progression... especially for a healer like you are. I would think you know the difference for yourself, and you did not state or even hint that was the case. If you were burned out on anything, it appears to me it was waiting around for Mythic to get in gear. It simply was taking way too long for you, so you shelved it for now.

If you are burned out at RR68, it's not comforting for anyone to know that you still had to get to RR80 to be maxed.

Anyways GL, have a good, fun summer outside and look for new releases to come soon. I doubt Mythic will have this ship righted with LOTD and at RR68, that won't really help you all that much. It's not like you just started playing yesterday and are all google-eyed.

Out of my guild, only my wife and I still play when previous we used to have 15-30 people on at a time able to field numerous Vale groups in a night. The wife and I are just trying to hang on till Aion comes out. We both tried out the open beta and was sad to see a game in China ran smoother, better graphics, better PvP, AND less lag then a game based in virginia. Heck, even the fort sieges are CC is better planned out then WAR.

We'll see how Mythic plans on turning WAR into a success, but my MJ's own words the game is a failure if it isn't 500K+, and we're six months out and we're still folding in servers. MJ even doomed the game with a statement saying 'If a game isn't adding servers six months out, then they are in trouble'(something along those lines, will need to find the exact quote later).

It's sad to see Warhammer getting such a horrible name because Mythic sees only what it wants to see.

I really don't see the reason for always posting after leaving a game. It just seems a waste of time, or maybe just a plea for atention and an attempt to get people to feel sorry. I have played and quit several mmos, over the past few years. Some of the games were great, but I got bored of them after a long time of playing. Others I just plain didn't like after giving the game a try. No game is perfect, but it is needed to start a topic just stating that you quit.

I will make you (the OP) feel better though. Hope you find a better game. Good luck in future entertainment endevors. Will miss you. You all come back now you hear.

To everyone else, game trials are free, and you can always try the game out and see for yourself if it is the game for you.
