Help me find a good MMO with PvP with a purpose!!!

There must be a good mmo out thats worth my time and money.
Over the last few years, I've tried Warhammer, Age of Conan, WoW, and kinda tried Eve online. Huge and long time player of dark age of camelot. In that game, I played an archer and the pvp was not mindless roaming killing with no gain or purpose. We had keeps to defend, towers, and land. Not to mention when we went on the offensive. Trying hard to replace that but no success.

From all of the games that I have played (and no, I never played UO or Shadowbane or anything) EVE has the most rewarding PvP, with TONS of purpose. Now, don't get me wrong, it is also a gankers paradise, but if you can make a niche for yourself, it might be worth a shot.
Darkfall might also fit your bill.
I'll second the suggestions of EVE Online and Darkfall.

Yea I tried that a total of three times. Just couldn't get into it. Seemed dumb I couldn't get out of my ship. Any word on runes of magic?
When does Darkfall supposed to come out?
It is out right now. Just difficult to actually buy the game. I wont go into details, but I would just wait until they make it available for all, without the page camping. But, then again, you will be so far behind the group at that time, it would be much harder to start playing the game... Choices...
Darkfall has been out since February. Though it is only available for online purchase at designated times. Check the official darkfall forums for details on when those times are. Although, I personally do not reccomend darkfall. I quit a couple weeks ago and so are the majority of players. Now I am back to playing DAoC but not on the live servers if you know what I mean...

TCoS barely has PvP, let alone "meaningful" PvP... Unless there is something that I have REALLY overlooked...
I would probably wait for Aion or New Earth to come out. Aion looks like it will have PVP/RVR and PVE in spades... Alot still up in the air with New Earth

I think you mean Fallen Earth... Unless there is yet another "Earth" game coming out... Fallen Earth or Earthrise.
At this point in time, DAOC remains the best MMO with that kind of meaningful PvP. Warhammer, with all its faults, is second. After that, I wager Darkfall (with even more faults) would be third

Last I played it was just factional warfare - trading keeps/relics. Diplomacy and politics are out of the question because it's RvR, so did they add territory control to DAoC?
