Hilarious.
Even hacking the game is times more fun than any other game out there.

I don't see anything "Fun" in this video...
It also shows that there are hackers in the game that would exploit to try to steal things like ships. Good thing AV actually banned him, or so people on the forums are claiming.
I mean it looks funny, but I don't think "fun" is the word.

Oh I agree the video is quite funny, I'm just saying that it doesn't show why DF is fun, it shows something else.
I imagine the people being hacked, well some of them were probably laughing, but I bet a lot of them were angry /upset with the situation.
A video that shows DF is fun would be a siege video or a PVP video, showing people getting hacked is hilarious to watch, but doesn't really show off game features.
So boats sail around several thousand feet up in the air? Notice how long everyone fell when the boat de-spawned.
Looks to me like the "boat people" were using some hacks themselves and deserved what ever they got.
I also noticed that the defender on the boat was moving at super speed (watch his legs) so it was a case of hackers vs hackers? Sweet, only the lowest scum need apply for this game it would appear.
You should have clicked the bottom link and read the thread he was mentioning.
The people who owned the boat were on the boat while someone was stealing it from them who used a flying hack to make the boat fly, now if your on a boat when its flying you too will be flying.
Imagine this boat, flying, traveling very very fast. Now imagine the lag this would cause.
PRESTO The reason the video looks wacky.
Also about the person whos legs are moving really fast, again, the boat is moving faster than the allowed speed of a boat because the person controling the boat is speed hacking and flying at the same time.
If your on an object thats moving SUPER FAST the leg animation might not work properly...

I have never nor will I subscribe to DF, the game is just not in a state where I would play it.
I was a follower of the forums for a long time, was hopeful like most of us that this game would be everything it said it would. Its not.
Tragic as that is, I still hope someday they'll get it to where its actually a shadow of what they intended it to be. Perhaps then it would be worth the 50 dollar price just to BUY an account and the monthy fee to boot.
I really do hope they get rid of all the cheaters and they add in a lot of features and fix all the bugs... I'd totally play it if it were the game the FAQ described a year ago.

I'm glad that everyone gets that this is funny. I mean its kinda annoying they have not found a way to prevent this kinda stuff but its still good to know that trolls, haters, and fans alike can all laugh at this.

But DF is a really secure client with lots of server side validation going on... it has the same level of problems as all new MMOs

Want to produce a niche PVP FFA MMO? Fine . Produce it without regard to the securing of the client then the competative nature of the game will make everything pointless. This is tragic and like everything AV utters.. very funny.

So hold on a sec, according to the fanbots there was no hacking etc in DFO. So I check the official forums and see there is all sorts of hacks in fact for sale...for...DF.
My best guess on subs now is probably around 6k, so they banned roughly 300 peeps, apparently more to be banned yet according to Tasos, thats a pretty nice bite into the population. Got to give AV credit for finally taking action on this issue when it fact it has been discussed as a issue of concern for some time by...people...playing...DFO.
BTW I dont see the bot legion here refuting this video...
