So weapon you pick makes no difference?

Say as a guy with a sword doesn't have a longer attack reach than a guy with a dagger? or a dagger guy doesn't have more attack speed than a guy with a sword?

I'm not sure you even need a weapon to attack persey..  Be something I'll test tonight.  But no other then something to hold sigils a weapon makes no difference other then appearance.  Hence your mage can wear full plate and weild a 2H Battleaxe.  One of the features in the game I think.they went to far on.  They should have had class restrictions on weapon and armor so that you could at least have appearances that reflected your class abilities and what you do.

What u wear or what weapon you use has no affect on what happens in combat. The sigil inside do because they affect your skills that are used. But all the different weapons have the same sigil slots.

This game is different from all other mmos in that your skills are your weapons. There use and your ability to dodge and move are the things that make u win or lose. You will never have to run an instance to gain some weapon to affect your skills again. You can run instance if u want to to get stuff or sigils but you dont have to.

What u wear and what u use as a weapon are for looks only. And all of them have the same sigil slots so again they are for your taste and do not affect your anything.

Attributes distrubtion will affect things but they are char. associated not stuff associated.

I use this analogy alot with my son who plays baseball and everyone wants to use his bat>>>I always tell him it ius not the arrow but the indian that makes the difference.

in otherwords, too many people complaining that all games are just item grinds...progress, farm gear to farm better gear to farm even better gear to farm gear that has slightly better stats but atleast looks like you're uber if you wear it.  So this game seems to have taken that approach, turn it inside out, put stats on glyphs you need to increase your virtual gear, to progress to farm better glyphs that allow you to farm even better glyphs but they don't make you look any better :P

(no, I quit TCOS during beta due to sheer boredom with the game and from being completely unimpressed with it's "innovations" and it's retro by a decade graphics, so you may not need to farm an infinite amount of the glyph things, I dunno.  I just find the whole thing utterly rediculous)

Grouping in Old school mmo's: meeting someone at the bar and chatting, getting to know them before jumping into bed.  Current mmo's grouping: tinder.  swipe, hookup, hope you don't get herpes, never see them again.

No, you find clothing, armor, AND sigils. You can then pick your favorite look seperately from your favorite gear stats. You no longer need to wear the fugly shouldamapads-of-DOOM just because they have good stats. Instead you pick your favorite look and put your favorite Sigils in the gear you're wearing. Its not that hard to understand the benefits.

Okay, so you got bored with the game. Bye!
