I'm planning to start up ffxi tonight at some point. I wanted to find other players that have started up or are planning to start up soon and join them in a guild and in grouping. I would like to pick 1 server for all of us to join so we can level up together. If anyone is interested in doing this say so. If someone has just begun say ur server and we can all join that server. Hope to see some responses, would love to start as a newb w/ other newbs

Me and about 3 others joined up recently. We are ranging from levels 12-22(doesn't take long to get up to 12), and I would be more than happy to keep you healed as a WHM. We are all on Ragnorak.

Kelron, Zigibugido, and Nemusaus(or similiar, fourth person will be joining up soon). We usually log in about 11:00PM or so CST. Although I will have the next few days off work so will be on alot during the day also.

If you did I am sorry, the text scrolls so fast on xbox it's ridiculous. You may try sending a tell to Zigibugido tomorrow, or I will be on some tomorrow afternoon. Though I usually get a voice over "Incoming Tell" I never did

O also i started in Bastok, i read about FoVs. where is the one around there?
Brand new to the game, just downloaded it, and I saw this post, so I think I will join Rag when everything is done updating. Ill post my character name when I get in the game. Any advice for a character? I used to play a hunter on WoW and a hunter on LOTRO if that is any indication of play style
Hmm so I cant seem to find my Playonline reg code when setting up that account. Where would I go to get this for the trial?
umm i don't remember exactly but check the official site for the trial key. They email you it.

Also, I started my character on Ragnorok as well. So far I'm a WAR at level 11. Though I find that it's difficult to find new armor so I might start using THF and MNK a bit to farm up more items to sell so I can hopefully buy the scale armor I want (and a new axe!).
I'm finding people don't sell low level equipment on the AH (I'm in Sandy, but made a mule in Bastok to check the market there), so also considering starting to level blacksmithing/goldsmithing to make my own equipment, but crafting isn't any cheaper than I recall it being back in 2004.
Oh! And my main character's name is Seidra. Feel free to send me a friend request. I'll be on some evenings (PST ~ 7:00) and probably early morning on the weekends.
In North Gustaberg the field manual is right near the entrance to Port Bastok.
In South Gustaberg, it's just outside the Bastok Mines entrance.
Just look for floating white books.

I know this thread is a bit older so i hope im not to late. ive been wanting to start up on ff11 again for a long time but was worried about being lonely in newby zones and no groups...ect . anyway are you guys still playing if so what lvl/names/server/starting land you can send me a pm or a reply here it would be nice to play this game with friendly ppl rather then alone hehe

I don't think any of the servers starting zones are empty. That wouldn't be the thing to worry about. Also, Level Sync takes care of low level parties. I'm on Kujata, if you happen to go there, let me know.

I got a party just last night with a no subjob lvl 12 mule. It didn't even take very long at all.
I want to get down on this. If my update ever finishes. I played like 3 years ago and even though my old character still exists I kind of wanted to start fresh. I'll PM someone if I get on Ragnarok.

well im on ragorok and kujata but ill be doing rag for now since it seems like that one has the influx on new players my ingame name is tenfoot, so if anyone is interested in helping a newbie out or joining newbie forces together to conquer the world of vana diel let me know
