Some of those are innovative systems, I suppose, but when I tried out the game I found the actual gameplay reeked - especially that absolutely awful turn-based combat. You can be as innovative as you like, but if the gameplay is lousy, it makes all that innovation worthless. I still have an account somewhere, gathering dust, and that's where it's going to stay
Item shop... love to spend my money to have and advantage
It has the best, most active auction house of any MMO I've played. As for the turn-based combat, it'sa matter of taste. It's not badly implemented.
the uninstall feature by far was the best thing i found about Atlantica
For me it's the turn based-combat system, it gives me the confidence to go out and PvP. It's not just about gear (although to some degree it is) and it's not just about mashing buttons in the right sequence, there is some thought require in the process.

A lot of things in the original post are hardly unique to Atlantica. Even some of those that are are essentially gimpy versions of things in other games.
Auto-move is nicer than not having auto move, but not nearly as good as Guild Wars' map travel.
Auto-battle is nicer than not having auto battle, but not nearly as good as not needing to grind in the first place.
Arena betting is kind of dumb, I have no idea what "hall of fame" is, and the rest have been done better in other games.
The original poster fails at viral marketing. If you're going to hype a game as having unique features, at least highlight the mercenary and combat systems that are fairly unique.
Definitely the turn-based combat for me. Although I have no idea how it holds up later on in the game, as I've only barely tried the game out. I'm still in the newb zone XD. I just don't have the time to be playing 2 MMOs simultaneously, else I'd definitely give Atlantica a real shot.

I really enjoyed the uninstall feature..
Sadly you find most of the fresh ideas in these little Item shop- or "Microtransaction"games. Maybe they are just easier/faster/cheaper to make, weak engine, low graphics, no support,...
There seems to be too much money in P2P AAA-games involved for experiments. But you can somehow feel their pain after several shipwrecks.
This leads to another problem though, but I am off topic, sorry.
1. Arena Betting - Majority of my money comes from this
2. Crafting - Rest of my money comes from this, you can craft almost every item in the game, I love it!
3. Combat - It brings me back to the days of playing Final Fantasy for 100 hours straight when a new one came out.
Well I like this game there's a lot of things to do and to earn gold...
Aside from leveling up my characters, My favorite place is in the town Market.. I like the fact that there's a rate system if you want to know the price of the item... you can vend on the market even if you were on AFK..
I was always surprise thar evrytime I online my Items were sold... so it's one of the feature that i like most..
I'm also a business woman in Atlantica, love to buy and sell...
Aside from buy and sell I like the feature of free league, I gain atlantis coin then I sell it again...at the same time you get exp...
Betting also can be one way to earn gold in atlantica...
Those are the features I like most in atlantica asise from the features that you all mention...

i think some of the guys here doesnt like Atlantica, well at first i was like that it.. i think it is boring and something like blahblahblahblah and what?? but when i think that i download it for a couple of hours maybe i should give it some more time to know the game.. and without knowing it, wow i play it day after day it makes me want to play more and more but i couldnt do that i have a life..
and Quizzical give me more time to know the game even more i'll try to post the mercenaries..
i havent have those high level mercenaries because im still a low level.. but i'll try to make a thread about it..
what the heck, another thread again about feature of atlantica, let see what i can share to you guys. Maybe is changing you're mercenaries from class d to class c (i heard theres already a class B to other countries, but not really sure its only a humor). But before you can hire a much better mercenaries you need to do them a favor like doing some many quest before you can invite that mercenaries to you're party. A good combination and balance of mercenaries is the key to win in a pvp or chanllenge system. ^^,

I'm just curious what are the birthday gifts that you can get from Acong? Is there any level limit for this? Because if there is none you can create a lot of accounts and set the birthday to tomorrow and get the gifts.
nah the birthday that you're talking about is the date when you create you're character in Atlantica online, so its impossible to create an account and set you're birthdate to tomorrow. lol ^^

i agree to chicksilog trapezonian you mis understood what is the birthday system. they cannot do those thing do you think that the developer is dumb enough to that thing? that gift is for the loyalist of atlantica online
I have a new favorite feature: arena betting --- i recently won a lot of gold and its much like betting on horse races
its pretty fun watching the matches too.
Party system-Long distance parties are conveniant
Turn based combat- gives strategy to the game
Crafting- get all money this way its nice
Auto-battle- i can multi task
Free League- is fun..i like it but the fact that they dont really put u up against ppl around ur lvl sometimes..is kinda upsetting...i sometimes get put up against someone 10 lvls higher then i am..if they can fix this this would be really really good.
they fixed the FL system a bit... although you would probably encounter a lot of higher levelled opponents, i think they base the division on your performance in FL. if you win a lot, you'll go up a division, when you dont do FL that much, you end up going to the lowest division possible..
yeah and they increase the turn attack time compare to previous patch.
