  Have you tried EVE? I played the trial for it and i really liked it. Its much different from most other MMORPGs ive played, but one thing to understand is it starts off slow, it has a pretty steep learning curve, but there is a really friendly and communicative community. Not to mention there is tons of things to do, right off the bat you are open to a meriad of options. I think you can find a free trial around here somewhere... Its also a space/sci-fi MMORPG, not fantasy, but great none-the-less

  err..you just redescribed EQII

  just go back on, and don't go do quests this time..since you're level 13 (lowbie) try getting a group and going to Wailing Caves

  then in a few levels do the FG key quest and hunt there.

  if you're tired of hunting, take up crafting or something, there are hundred of tradeskills (ok well not hundreds, but you know)

  Yo have you played Maple Story?  It's a free based mmorpg with alot of potential and very fun.  It has kind of cartoonish graphics but its free and very fun.  May I suggest you not trying FFXI either because in that game all you do there is lame quests, level ( which is hard because you have to have full parties from 10-75), and farm for gil everyday to get decent equip....

  As long as I'm here im go'n grab checks, and make my cash stretch longer than giraffe necks.

  yea i know i was trying to tell you that eq2 just wasnt for me...i dont need to log back in after playing for 2 weeks and just not feeling anything at all.wasnt bashing, just saying its not for me.im gonna try the AO trial and then the EVE one if i dont like AO.then maybe maple story.if i dont like those i might just go back to horizons(loved it but hated it at the same time) or i guess WoW is next.sigh...if all of that fails i guess im waiting for DnL or wish

  Also, Asherons call 2 has a free trial. I had fun during the trial, but I never ran across too many people when I was playing.

  hmm... u almost described maplestory there. maplestory is just basically quests. but the thing bad about the quest is dat its given at the wrong lvl. for example, i dont think that a quest shud be available to a lvl 15 that makes them fight lvl 25 (although i did beat that quest wen i wus lvl 17 )

  ^3rd generation mmorpg, not WoW or EQII with just their betta graphics, dis game is for everyone, whether ur a grinder, quester, group exper, w/e.

  wuts the website for EQII It sounds good ... and wuts the websites for those athor games they also sound good.

   

  O and have you tried LoK .. its just a fun online game you can gain lvls make friends kill ppl or just explore  www.kronia.net

  i am really looking foward to trying out DnL, Wish, and dungeons and dragons.right now im tryin to find somewhere to buy WoW, mostly becuase it was alright to me and a few friends are playing.eq2 just didnt work out for me.first it just didnt appeal to me, and second my graphics card isnt good enough to run the graphics at ok settings.i would rather run WoW pretty high and get great graphics instead of playing eq2 at medium and low.might go back to eq2 in a while once i can afford to build a gaming comp
