Which have you played and which do you recommend? I've tried Battleforge and Saga, but got bored with both. Now I'm looking to play either Beyond Protocol or Celetania.
I'm on the trials of both Beyond Protocol and Celetania. BP is deeper and more complex, but some of that complexity is a bit of a pain. Creating engines and hulls for out of over 100 different resource's is cool, but I found trying to get it done frustrating. Think spreadsheets in space for that part of the game.
Celetania is more polished but simple gameplay. It looks good and gameplay is easy to pick up. The downside would be the long periods of waiting for something to finish researching or building.
The player base for both games is small but active.
Of the two I'm leaning towards Celetania because its geared more for the casual player, and is an easier game for me to get into.
It looks a little outdated, though. Battleforge was fun too, but I liked that you could customize your units in Shattered Galaxy (meaning that I find SG better).
If you like customizing units, then you should definitely check out Beyond Protocol
