Why do you consider MMOs a waste of life?
Are they not just another hobby like reading a book or painting resin models?
I have an incredible life.
I have a great job, A hot ass wife that after ten years is still just as interesting as the day I met her, four wonderful children, great friends that i see on the weekends and tons of other hobbies and activities that I take part in other then MMOs.
I don't consider MMos a waste and personally I think your thread and you are a joke for coming to a MMO forums just to type that out.

why should i do these things instead of playing mmos. I saw some things on that list that i enjoy and guess what, i do those next to playing mmos
You know, gamers are really a neat group of individuals at least that is what I have experienced in my gaming time. So filled with passion and emotion that even those who claim to be casual players often are active in the current events. I have been part of many organizations in my days and if given the opportunity I would chose to participate in a gaming convention over many other possibilities. Having been a member of this site now for a couple of years and reading the forums beats most the books I have read and movies I have viewed. Yea, give me a good debate on a game anytime.
Ah yes, pogo sticking and hanging out at the mall , two of my favorite things that aren't a waste of time, and certainly are much more prestigious than playing an MMO. /sarcasm off hahahahaha

I'm guessing many hard-core gamers are too fat and out of shape to do most of those things. Besides, squeezing their mountain of flesh out from between the arms of their desk chairs might be too much of a strain.
What happened to the time where trolls took some pride in their work. These days we get these wannabe's making half-assed attempts that doesn't even raise an eyebrow. it isn't even summer break yet.
It's sad
So most of the things on the list, I do them even if I play MMO, so I don't get your point. You have to explain why would it be better to do the things on your list instead of playing MMO. Because for me, painting the house next door is more a waste of time than playing MMO.

Well I only play MMOs in the eve...after all my kids are in bed. So really the only other choice is watching 'The biggest Looser' of some 'I have 10 kids' show on womens network. And the majority of what is on TV is crap. So for me it's either crap TV shows or crap MMOs...not sure if I am making the right choice by gaming.

Like said before i play games as a hobby. Usually after school im tired so getting a little pumped up from games is quite relaxing and gets my head off of studying,i admit sometimes i play too much but then again i dont regret it--like when i play hockey and we're tied in a game,we keep going till one team wins even if it takes like an extra hour. Its always fun to see people making trying to prove you have no life when there the ones posting on the same forums just to tell you that.
Why people are even in this thread defending why they play MMO's to begin with is beyond me. Like it matters to anybody /shrug

- Get a life, before you get so bored that you post a dumb thread called," Things you could be doing instead of playing mmos "
- Make a list about things you could be doing instead of posting dumb threads and then keep it to yourself!
