hello everyone, i've done some shopping around the net for canadian sites and so far it looks like these two cards are in my price range.  If you had to choose one of these to play everquest2 on, which would you pick?

Sapphire Radeon 9800se / 128MB DDR / AGP 8X / VGA / DVI / TV Out / Lite Version Video Card

I'd pick the 9600 I think, but I'm no techie. I heard SE cards are arse budget cards, but I might be confuzed with another model.

if i were you i would buy a BFG graph card cos they have lifetime warranty, they have customer support 24/7 and they overclock there graph card but it still stay the same price as any other.

now if you only have the choice between those i would tell you to take the Visiontek cos there is 256 ram and ram is very important.

id go with the mid end card aswell (9600) i have a shapire radeon 9600xt 256mb and it works like a dream on everquest, can run everything on high settings, depending on the time of the day i can even run it on very high.

i think the saphire atlantis XT version is a littel better then the vision tech but i doubt it's by much.

as for the 9800 the 128 mb edition is fairly equal to the 9600 card you listed, for the great difference you'd have to buy the 256mb version of the 9800, and if your like me you would have to give up a leg and an arm for that card :)

so by all means go with the 9600 card, everyone knows ati cads kick nvidia every day :)

if its a choice between those two, definatly the 9600, that 9800 is the se version and its complete crap. slower clock speeds and less pixel piplines than the 9600, also the 9600 has more ram.
