It's not so much gameplay, graphics, lack of content, however it's Joymax in general they allow bots to roam free, they posted a bot list which is a joke, you look at it and see that there's 20 names but it's actually just 5 people. I come across at least that many bots in a single play period, you can find a dozen of them if you look.
The game masters do nothing to make this game enjoyable, the turks as the main player base have been simply down right rude. I created a character just for the purpose of killing the bots. nothing else to do. Logging into a server is near impossible and sometimes is impossible at times. You can get on global and make racial, sexist, and religeous slurs all you want i've seen it done. Gamemasters don't exist, they have automatic messaging in game.
I've played MMO's for years and when you do get in groups, they suck these players don't know team work, only greed. Wizards run around with free for all loot option so they get all of it cause no one can out damage them. Don't party FFA loot option, if you played Everquest or any other respectable game the policy "Need before greed" doesn't exist either. Players are lame in this game.
Item mall items interfere with the game way too much as well, example is reverse recall (not availbable in-game). One of the main features of the game is the silkroad, trading between cities. While thieves attack you, even if you kill them they pop back up in a few seconds later. They also can get a heavy duty transport with exponential amount of hitpoints 10 times to be more exact. Plus item mall items to produce uber weapons that are impossible to attain or achieve in game. they also get item mall pets which steal your gold or loot from kills and they're completely automatic, buy one if you play this game and go afk somewhere and you'll be rich in the morning. should i go on???
Overall, It's the gamemasters, item mall, and the obnoxious turks that ruin this game,

I can tell by reading your post that you didnt play for long. The item mall isnt necissary. I know many people that have capped out and never used any item mall items. They also arent that beneficial for PVP if you are a competent player. ALso, with some luck, you can make more powerful weapons. I know many people that make +7 gears for fun without anything from the item mall. The only thing that the item mall offers is an stone that will cause your item to fail back to +4 instead of failing to +0. It also has a chance of not working at all.
I dunno what server you are on, but on Venus we have a lot of parties running at all levels. No one ever makes the party FFA cause that would indeed be lame.
You dont "get rich" from your pet. LOL The gold you pick up on the floor, even at high levels, training for hours at a time equals a few million. The pet is pure convience and saves a little bit of time.
Trading is supposed to be hard. Why would they make it simple? The thieves are equal to the number of goods you are carrying and your level. The higher HP transports are based on level because the only exponential increase the NPC thieves/hunters get is based on the level of the trader/thief. Higher level traders/player thieves need higher hitpoint transports.
GIve the game a chance on a server that doesnt suck. lol Try Venus.
heh, i wasn't talking about the npc thieves, I was talking about player thieves that attack your caravan, if you die without item mall items you don't come back, if they die with item mall reverse recall, they can come back and attack your caravan again, gives them time all the time to track and get help even though you keep killing them, all it take is one death, they can die as many times as they want. not to mention the uber item mall caravan transports and i have played on Venus, i got a few characters in the 20's there couple with pet wolfs. I still play the game, only to kill botters when i can, working on levels to kill higher level botters how about that for a game objective lol. i actually been playing long before European pack. Can't log in very often anyways....server full, sad they sell item mall items just so you can log in, due to their cheap network think i'm off to play Bounty Bay lol
Oh on Venus i was in a guild Confederation of Venus, I liked them as a guild and the rules. They are alot like myself and very anti-bot policy, but then i quit playing for awhile. My characters are Dingleberry and variations of that name. :P
Nightbloom why do you defend this game? It is simply not worth it. I bet you have premium allowing you to log in, but for any player that wants to try out this game it's simply impossible to get past login screen. Company that runs this game is the most amateur one in the business, there is no support, no ingame gms, just nothing. They don't care at all. They lucked into good code and they ruined it, having no idea how to use it to make real money like wow or other succesful mmo out there. Bot punishments they do are hillarious and it really makes you wonder if they aren't themselves behind all that bot scam going on. Anybody spending even single cent on this game must be sick.
I support and defend the game because as far as PVP goes, I havent found another one as good. Pure open PVP without a request, without an arena, anywhere, and under like 5 different conditions? Yeah, NO ONE ELSE has that. I play so many new games and they are all lacking in the PVP area.
Every game has issues of some kind or another. Silkroad is like the wild west of MMORPGs, lawless and insane to play. You gotta be tough and determined, smart and crafty to get ahead. I like that. Yes, there are games that are easier, that have GMs, that make everyone hold hands and be nice. That ISNT silkroad online. In Silkroad you can get scammed, murdered, hacked and persecuted.
I can see how some people wouldnt like that. But you also have to understand that there are some people who thrive on adverse conditions, who enjoy beating the odds and winning. I hear so many complaints about MMOs being too easy. LOL Silkroad isnt easy.
The only pvp I can see in this game is against "connect" and "confirm" buttons and I always lose. Its no fun at all.
Then this isnt the game for you. WOOOO! I dont like the insipid graphics or freaky role playing people in WOW, so I dont play it. Other people find that to be wonderful, so they do. I buy a premium because I think the game is worth that. You dont, so no premium account for you. What? Is that horrible? Sure, its a free MMO and you CAN log in during the evening hours my time (PAC) without a premium, but during peak hours, no you cant. It's not a conspiracy or anything, its just a popular MMO.

I play Silkroad since closed beta-then they be good game like one year,but then incoming bots armys with following Cant connect,disconect,connect only premium players.....all this crash this game.now they only 60% bots and maybe 40% players game.Not worth to play if have alot others like this-Rohan,Rakion,Rappelz.....
P.S. i hope GM in this game have dividends from bots:-)

Yes, Silkroad has some issues. I will be the first to admit. But I dont see why botters make the game hard to play. On Venus, we fight them and win. Avalon, my legit guild and union, holds the fortress, has held the fortress since fortress wars started.

Im pretty sure that JoyMax doesnt want botters or goldfarmers like any other game. It makes it hard for new people joining to stay long enough to become long term players. I have hope that they will iron out that problem. Till then, I am enjoying kicking bot butt in game.

silkroad is an execellent game but not worth the hastle that comes with it
i have/had been playin 3 years
there servers are always crowded with gold bots
there is no way of beatin bots whats so ever i have been on venus and there maybe a lack of good player bots to stomp on but goldbots are all over.
players are just the same as any server unless you can get friends you know from the first server you were on startin new no one higher lvl than you will help
the only players bots that are goin to the new servers are ones that aren't that good thats why newer servers are easy
triangular conflict doesn't work once your over lvl 40 any trade you do is a risk not worthy of the reward
my mate was/is in avalon on venus :P was/is meaning i haven't been on his account for ages so not sure but when i was on it there was less activity
theres a guy some reason believes its ok to scam players a does saying they were bots which just isn't true
just some kid trusting him not to scam him(theres legit for you)
although i do try loggin on every now and then i wouldn't recommend this game to anyone to start up playing
also item mall does destroy the game a little more because now you can buy sun weapons illegal for players to sell but joymax is aloud.
pickin items is a pain but you can only buy pick pets
usefull items are way over priced

one destinct part of the game triangular conflict just doesn't work for all players
fortress war is on a week day
all decent/good players who actually play the game not just grind have or are gettin ready to leave

No, Joymax doesn't want to get rid of bots. Stop being naive. Had they wanted they would have banned all of them long time ago. Bots are now a part of this game, just like landscape and nothing will change. Legit players already left this game, some may be still playing on Venus but it is like a needle in a haystack. It is too late for any real action against the bots, the game is ruined enough without it. You can't wipe 95% of your players and expect thousands of legits coming back to pay for the servers let alone bring some income.
what if I have time to play only during peak hours? th game wont be f2p for me then.. unless I have enough patience to bash the button to get in.. even then..
