My PC is not that great and it runs the game with all settings on max as smooth as you could write a game. They really did a good job with it. In comparrison most other games I cannot run at max graphix, but this one I can.

It's a Dell 670 Workstation. It's built to be used as a server not a graphics machine. I have a NVIDIA 9800+ graphics card in it as well as tons of processors (4), ram (6 gigs) and 2 scsi hard drives (Extremely fast) but the chipset limits its graphics ability a lot. Even the simplest of games running at low res (800x600) will not run faster then 30-40 frames per second on a good day. In comparrison when I played WoW (Which I quit due to Blizzard's piss poor customer service) I never got above 15-20 frames per second (Running at 1920x1200 res with all graphic setings set to medium). I can run Aion at 1920 x 1200 with all graphic settings on high and I get a steady 30 FPS almost all the time.
There is a setting by the way in Aion you can turn on which will automatically lower your graphic settings for you while in busy areas. It's kind of nice as it tends to keep you at the same feel through any area you go into. Then of course it raises the settings again when you go into an area that is not as populated. Even though in a heavy populated area, I never saw any big lag but anyone who has played these types of games before knows there is always some area that is lagging espcially during server busy times.

well, I have tested many MMOs, in beta and/or gold version, and to me FPS is crucial. I realy don't care if the graphics aren't at the top of todays standard, I just want the game to feel fluid. And in that regards, no MMO are even close to WoW, it's it's probably one of the key reason of it's sucess. Thx again.

Having played WoW for 3 and a half years and now Aion you will find Aion is much smoother then WoW. Trust me. It is way smoother.

Budala posted it, but that being said, I've heard of people with even lower end machines running the game smoothly on the PvE areas.
