Ok, so some people thought, including members of my clan, that the closed beta would release in April. Since it didn't do so and there hasn't been an update post on the webpage yet, does anyone think they might have a clue or possibly know someone that works for SV that has an idea. Like maybe this month or is this game gonna keep pushing back for a couple more months for CB. Just curious myself, feel free to post your comments and hopefully one of you can legitimately answer this thread.

Looking at their updates and how they have done things, I expect them to start accepting applications within the next couple weeks. Expect an update soon, I'm sure there will be some information on it. I never expected an invite during April, kind of a gut feeling. Seems I was right.

Well I hope it starts soon for our sake and theirs as well. They are an open trade company and from everything I have heard if they don't release when their schedule or "business plan" says they are supposed to, which i believe is july, then they are supposedly out of funds.
I really hope they don't let this happen cause i don't want it to be vaporware or turn into a darkfall situation. If the beta keys are sent out this month then it's not a big deal but if it's another month or 2 then I am not sure they'll make it. This is just from what I have heard, with them being out of funds after July. So i'm gonna cross my fingers and hope this gets done soon and my guild gets invited as well.

I hope they do get to release running out of funds would be sad indeed, another thing they can do is come clean with the community release the game in a semi complete state and keep developing it this is where Tasos and his minions failed, promising "feature complete" then releasing a half assed game and expect ppl to just forget about what he said, if SV did come clean and said "look we have A , B and C features working, we need more funding our future goals are to implement X, Y , Z after 6 months and then implement D, E and F" Im sure alot of ppl would support them.
But then again I have no idea what their situation or status of the game is currently so this is pure speculation on my part.
I know somebody at the moment who is in the closed beta, so I'm pretty sure that it actually came.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Their publicly stated release date is Summer 2009.
Summer lasts until September, not July.
Active members and long time followers on the official forums have stated that if it came down to a choice between releasing the game on time and incomplete or releasing after Q3 09 to ensure the game is polished they overwhelmingly chose a delayed release.
If you're getting antsy go play Darkfall, there are a couple of people on their forums giving away their accounts.
That's interesting, because according to their update., their next phase (which hasn't begun yet) is to accept the first wave of testers for combat purposes. We would all be fully aware of external testing if that phase bagan, that's for sure. Now.. if your 'friend' works for or is close to StarVault, then sure, I could see them taking part in the internal testing. I'm sorry though, I don't believe you. hah.
The beta will start any day now, after this recent information. But there is some smaller beta testing going on.
