Dude, really? Wired controllers are SUPPOSED to come apart like that. They have a USB port on the end, but a little bit further up the USB cord connects to the rest of the controller cord by a little L-shaped connector as you have described. My roomate has 3 wired controllers, and I have 2, and EVERY one of them is like this. When you grabbed your controller from behind your computer, you probably just yanked the L-shaped connector free from the USB cord and the USB cord dropped down behind your desk or something. Admit it, is this what happened?

The cylindrical part at the top of the picture - that's where your controller comes apart into the L-shaped bracket connecter.

Lol you got me. But I had to check 4 times behind my CPU before I noticed it, sadly. It was out of plain sight view. Also, it totally slipped my memory, I thought it was one straight wire with a USB connecter, not a double connecter that breaks inbetween.
Plus the whole wallet incident, which did happen with one of the girls, make me conclude right away that they were behind right, because the wallet thing did actually happen, but yes, the controller was my own fault for jumping to conclusions without really examining the situation in absolute full variety.
As I wrote before, It did not make sense for either of them to steal it and risk their jobs over it, which is why I could not make sense of the situation as to their motive.
