I just saw this, and the video of the artstyle looked interesting. Though I'm not for certain, the footage is probably not any in-game gameplay footage. However, interesting nonetheless.
your thoughts?...

It looks interesting but have you got any info on the launch date?
It says Autumn 2009 at the end of trailer, that probably means the intented launch date.

Oddly enough eventhough in the trailer, the game seems to have a fantasy look, it's been listed as a sci-fi mmorpg. Perhaps it's because of the ship to ship battles or maybe possible weaponry besides the typical sword and shield, and such.
Can't wait to see more.
I didn't watch more than 30 seconds of it.
Do you think I have time to watch clips all day?
I really just bumped this topic because I felt sorry for the OP not getting any responses to his thread.
Using licensed WOW engine or something, uncannily similar to WOW in art style, GUI etc?
Looking very nice, actually. I think the movie consists of 100% ingame 3d models but rendered in 3d max or a similar program for the best possible polish and total control over camera angles.
But the ingame screens in this dir look pretty polished just the same: allods.gpotato.com/pressdownload/
My brand new bloggity blog.
this game does look fairly interesting, while i was at there website i also saw another game being published soon called aika, seems like a rvr game and going through there description it supposedly has 1000vs1000 battles, graphics are quite nice aswell. Looking forward to both of these games
Seems to be even more a wow-clone than Runes of Power or whatever that game was called. Look at this video -> www.youtube.com/watch . The thing that strikes me is that the art-style is WoWish but the animations are worse than wow but the overall graphics seem nicer with crisper textures. Still this game does not seem to innovate all too much and is trying to ride the wow-train I guess it's F2P as well (like RoP), but who knows?
Very nice intro vid. And the game does look promising.
I don't know why people always go "WoW clone!" There was nothing in that video that remotely suggested WoW.
If anything, that was so much like Final Fantasy XI, that it could have been an expansion, right down to the airships and little fuzzy creatures.
Sigh.. so much WoW on people's brains.
"TO MICHAEL!"
Not russian , however was rated best at russian game conference.

As cool as this looks id like to point out the very blatant Thievery in this video. I am going to provide a link for the slow motion fight scene in 300 where Lionidas is whooping Persian ass. At 0:33 He will draw his sword at this point I urge you to pause the you tube clip. The video for Allod mimics this fight exactly. The videos will Sync at the point where the Heavy armored knight jumps onto the ship all glowy blue and shoulder tosses his first advisary. I can honestly saw that again as cool as it looks Its a half ass attempt at being creative and I say NAY SIR NAY, I shall not play your silly Gpotato game!

ENJOY!
Same thing I was thinking when I watched it.
good Im glad i wasnt alone.
The video did not resemble Wow but other videos on gameplay do resemble it . But Im nto a Wow hater so it wouldnt be a bad thign for me.
Nival Interactive are in fact russian developers known for the great game Rage of Mages which is the other name of Allods. It was a kickass multiplayer and i remember tons of hours spent in the local internet coffe playing with friends. I hope this mmorpg to turn out great.
looks like Rouge galaxy

If i can be one of those crazy looking wolf guys on the front, all tribal'n stuff I'll "try" it. Otherwise, looks like another low-polygon children's colorbook of WoW. >_>;

Very interesting indeed. I need to know more about the mechanics though.
