Most of you judge quickly from the crappy screenshots this game has- but fear not because those screenshots are from 06

    Made them links for lazy people... there's also some video on youtube from 2006, the graphics aren't good but it shows you quite a bit about the game and are woth watching....   giant hermit crabs with trashcan instead of shells... class...

    Awesome!  Thanks for showing these.  I remember disliking the old character models and I'm glad they've updated them.  They look a lot better IMO, as do the environments and the graphics in general.  I am slowly becoming more and more interested in this game again.

     Thx, even the before pictures were fine by me. If enough people played Asheron's Call I would be playing it, graphics are midway down the list of requisites for an enjoyable mmo to me.

    Thanks for the links. The FE website needs an update. You can't find any good screenshots on there.

    It should be easy to find screenshots, videos and some downloadable wallpaper. On the FE website. geesh!

    I was willing to play the game based on gameplay alone.  The old graphics appeared outdated, but I was willing to overlook that.  With the new graphics I am bumping this game up to most anticipated.  If the game releases with those female models, they will easily have the best looking female avatars of any current mmo.  I also loved the guys new look, their armor, the vehicles looked great, and the landscapes are awesome.  My only remainging thought is that I hope I will be able to run this game on my computer.  But, if it's in alfpha stage it has a ways to go and hopefully I'll have a new computer by then.

    It is actually currently running Closed Beta, and a recent podcast interview has said 'The flood gates are about to open', which could only mean Stress Test Phase or Open Beta..

    Visit the forums, there's lots of great info there..

    Holy Crap those screens look good.

    Normally graphics are a really big deal to me, but after having gone through 5 or 6 MMOs, I am starting to appreciate mechanics and concept a lot more than graphics. Realistic graphics are more important to me than flashy graphics.

    That being said, I really like where they are going with these. The vehicles look awesome, and I like the new look of characters as well.

    Really the only thing the game will need to make it look amazing is some higher res textures. In almost all modeling great textures can make not the greatest of modeling look great. I however think the models for the game look pretty good overall

    I was fine with the graphics before, but now it looks even better.  Thank you for the links!  Also, I was more into playing this due to the gameplay it offered on paper.  I was hoping to find something that played and controlled like Hellgate and Neocron, but in a persistent as possible world (and no I don't mind instancing here and there either).

     

    I wish FE luck and prosperity as I like what I've read on paper so far.
