I love this game (I just subscribed), it's almost perfect, but theres one..big..problem preventing m

Guys   I would like to encourage you all to try the trial. I got to 55 before the trial ended (almost 7-8hrs a day playing) and I realized that this game is -the- mmorpg. I had a lot of expectations because of all the trolling about bugs and what not.

I recently hit lvl 73 so I am now in Keshetta, the only 70-80 zone. Here comes the problems:

  1. 1-70 was a breeze. I mean especially 50-60 in Ymirish Pass (looooooads of quests). If anyone needed a quest durning 1-70 or did villa then they have skipped a lot of content. It's a truly amazing experience. I tried a few instances I never did before: The Pyramid (33-38) in Stygia and the Amphitheatre (60-68)in Ymirish Pass. Both very great, though the last one only has 3 bosses. HOWEVER - after you hit 70 and you find youself in Keshetta you will realize how dead this place is on quests. You WILL grind to 80 so you have 2 options - 1) DM Grind with groups (can be fun) 2) Do villa (meh). Either way, it's a grind.
  2. RAM Hogggggggggggg! The game uses 1GB of RAM to run. That's insane. I run with 2GB RAM and I'm lagging in cities. (I got a 3,0ghz dual core proccesor 6000+ AMD, 8800 Ultra 712mb, 2GB RAM).

That's the only problems so far. Community, graphics, everything is suberb.

Even greater news though - 1.05 will introduce Tarantia Commons a 70-80 area full of quests. So I have chosen to unsubscribe and then subscribe back when the patch hits.

Please try the trial and don't hold back because of lack of quests at the very last levels, its only there that the game sucks. AoC unfortunately was, as you all know, released a bit unfinished.

i gotta disagree with you there. With atzels approach and kesh i never had problem leveling past 70. Also you have slaughterhouse cellar which you can enter 76+

king and his bunch at noble dist. also gives lots of quests for 70+

only leveling problem i have with AoC atm is you level too fast the first 50 levels.

    I need more vespene gas.

Theres no quest hub for 70+ quests. Theres a few in atzels, a few in keshetta and the last ones are I guess at Conan. I'm sure that if you ask all the 80s most have said they villa grinded untill they were able to do Slaughterhouse (which at this point you can just do Onyx)

I disagree with the level part. I don't like leveling slow and if you play on a PvP server then 1-80 might be a pain in the ass if your not careful (you WILL get ganked). I don't know if you play on a PvP or a PvE server but the leveling is not fast on either, it's a decent pace similar to the pace of WoW's leveling system

you say few, i say alot, nvm.

and if you ask them why they are villa grinding they'll say to avoid kesh ganking, not lack of quests. its because of the lack of pvp zone with good rewards. ppl who want to pvp go to kesh which drives away the ppl who want to level.

i play in a pvp server, i know what its like. I dont want slow leveling, i want normal speed. I see ppl trying to form pugs for sanctum and wonder "why bother?" you can level more easily elsewhere and the drops, you'll outlevel them in the next 3 hour gameplay. About gank, its a fact of pvp server. making leveling faster or slower isnt the solution to that.

i played wow trial  to lvl 15 something. It felt slower but my experience there is limited and probably wrong.

Welcome back after patch 1.05! Lets hope it doesn't take too long.

On my latest lvl 80 I didn't do any grinding at all, I skipped a lot fewer quests this time, so it IS possible to get to 80 with no grinding whatsoever. I think lots of people skip lower level quests and enters Atzels and Khesh too soon when all the quests there are red, for good xp.. Typical MMO'ers :p wants to cap the game too fast! (me included)

Still, 1.05 will fill most "holes" for fast grindless levelling

Well I hope you do come back in the next patch, I just hope they've sorted PvP out A LOT with the new patch. I'm sorely dissapointed with it's gank fest. How ever I am seriously enjoying PvE (SOOO rare for me, seriously....rare)

Easy way to fill the gaps if you find any between 70-80, Run some epic instances with groups, Caravan Raiders, Atzels, Onyx Chambers........ If you run these instances a few times, besides great blue loot you will get some great XP, not to mention that fact that King Conan gives you a crap load of quests for Atzels Castle. There isn't really a big gap when you get to 70 you just need to look a little more to find the quests and area's that will speed you along to 80.

you'll find one more problem I think when you hit 80

    no great endgame

Just when you think you have all the answers, I change the questions.
