maybe it's just me...but...-
Do the character models in Aion look like slightly updated Lineage2/guild wars, cabal, perfect world, etc... models? I know it shouldn't matter but i am starting to have a hard time getting into games that look like that anymore. It's been done time and time again, and I think that cosidering that so much effort goes into updating background graphics, why not put some of thee same effort into giving the characters a fresh new look? I'm all about great gameplay, but if I'm going to look at the same few characters run aroyund my screen for years I personally would like to see cool new styles. To find a different background all you've got to do is enter a new area jungle, dessert, gloomy or happy forrest.

You realize you can make pretty much any type of character you want in this game, right? I made a character that looked kind of like the incredible Hulk just for fun. Have you played the game or just seen videos? If it's just the videos I can assure you that people aren't utalizing the full extent of the character creation tools in this game.
Also, Aion=/=Linneage.
Don't make me write another childrens story.

But I'm bored I want a childrens story written just for me, include a wolf, a princess and a witch living in a candy house that eats kids please!

I have not played the games you listed, well I tried L2 for all of a day and do not remember much.
I will say that in L2 I remember you had limited face options where as in AION you can make anything you want within reasons. In fact Aion is right up there with CoH in terms of char customization. I have yet to see anyone who looks like any of my characters.
I have seen elves, gnomes, dwarves, anime, fat, skinny, ugly, pretty, you name it my characters look good im but also look very western where as a lot of the China players went for more easterns and few anime looks. That my friends is a lot of depth and options.
If you look around you can find pics of some creative people of Obama, Arthas, many many celebs, you name it.
So if your concern is limited character appreances, do not worry, Aion has a great chracter generation process that will allow you to stand out as well as others.
Ehh, character models look like character models look like character models. The Korean design, or flavor, is there, for sure. You can probably make a character that looks just about like any other character (proportion wise, and such) from any other MMO. Or at least resembles it. If you choose to do so, that's you limiting yourself, and not the game. I've made some pretty off-the-wall toons that looked like nothing you had ever seen before (in an MMO, at least).
I liked the character models in Guildwars and from what I seen in L2 and PW are they fine too.
Is this really a big issue? People prefer different art styles, some love Wows art, other hates it and same with any other game.
