I know it's just a game and I'm all for different genres, but I personally have no real desire to play a wanna be gang banger. I live in Chicago and read about and hear enough of the shit everyday.
I guess it's actually kind of hypocrtical of me but I usually tend to play Rogue/Smuggler type characters in MMO's, but the genre I play (fantasy/sci-fi) is far enough away from RL.
Just me though. If you enjoy the game, rock on with your bad self...
yeah I have to agree with ya there. I don't live near any gangs as far as I know but just seeing it in a game like this is depressing to me. I never got into the Grand Theft Auto games for the same reason.

If it had a bit of cyberpunk stylings I might consider it. However, it would be tough for me to play a game that may not be too far from reality. I need more escapism, not necessarilly fantasy either, but something more furtther than reality than crimecraft may offer.
