lol my acc in forumfall is still banned, with no explanation... hey I was one of those people that was waving a red flag on a sinking ship, I mean it didn't take too much common sense to predict the meltdown that occured in launch. Though I may also have been kicked for leaks, but I'm not sure how they caught me if so.

I really enjoy it but a couple of issues that make me not play so much:
Grind: gathering materials for armor/weapons/potions/regs is immense...could take 2 hours to be decently equipped and loose it in 15 min of pvping. This is without the thousands of hours that need to be dedicated for skills/stats. this should be reduced to 30 min of mat gathering, and skillup should be at 100 with 2 weeks of casual playing.
I'm not playing the fucking game to look at my mining pick hitting a rock. I want to be pvping 90% of the time.
Reasons to pvp: obviously raiding and conquering cities is the main reason to pvp....but thats also a huge grind in gold/materials to build, and no one wants to risk loosing all that shit over 1 siege especially if its not trully waranted. This makes a shitload of people chill out naked harvesting (look at above grind) around the towns/hamlets and fight naked without loosing everything.
I would like to see a subway system like Asherons Call, a set of portals to take a group to an island that can be used as a bounce stage to other continents....so from there u can teleport wherever. Making it viable to be there and bring your good shit to fight. This would mean you are able to find a good fight at whatever time, not just hitting another raid group randomly or sieging.
They can also ad resource dungeons that would make resource gathering for ships and warhulks easy. Protect and mine the ore = a warhulk in 2 days. Make it worth it to fight there fully geared.
Small things about what you bitched about: launch spell I think is needed, but give it a 85% hp drain when used. So yes you can use it to jump a opposite castle wall but know you may die if not healed straight away and with no backup, so u cant use it just to be a little nerd and jump around like an asshole.

Not likely. But regardless it is my choice. However, I prefer to remain somewhat respected in what I post. A test is a test. If I where becoming a newly forming troll, I wouldn't even bother creating a rebuttal to what you just said.
Anyways to give this thread some meaning to add to what the others are saying. My personal views of darkfall look like this.

ME : Hmm this game is interesting on quite a few levels so I will keep it on my "To try" list. I like the concept, but a few mechanics I dislike, however the mass PVP looks fun, however.... "It's really a weight game of what you like and don't. What you can stand and what you can't stand."

We share the same view on the game. That's great.:) I feel the exact same way. I haven't played the game, so I feel it's not my place to insult or praise it. All I have are screenshots and video's off youtube. Well, that and everyones opinions on these forums. I will be waiting for a free trial, to see if I like it or not. Judging by opinions from both sides, it shows merit, but has a few kinks to work out. I don't think it is currently at a point in its life where I'm willing to buy the game subscribe just to see if I like it or not. Not a wise use of money in my opinion. I don't want to see any mmo fail, because even the most paltry additions to the genre help in some form or another. I think just from the SS and video's it merits a trial at least. I don't personally agree with how the company is handling their business practices, but it's not my company, so they are welcomed to do as they wish, I just hope sometime soon, they are cabable of releasing some form of free trial. I think that could help them get more positive response to their game(assuming it performs well). On the other hand if they release it with hard to understand controls, I hear so much about here, I don't know if even that will help them..
Haha, I knew when I saw this thread title that it was going to be a joke.

So much hate around this game, and many comments remind me of shadowbane. Shadowbane wasn't highly played, but I loved the massive keep battles where you could litterly obliterate an entire guilds efforts by destroying their town. If you take the time many serious PvE guilds put into raiding; this game sounds like an interesting change of pace.
