I did a forum search and was surprised to find no threads to discuss Crafting in Aion: Tower of Eternity. This thread will be the place where those playing the game can ask others playing the game Crafting questions, and maybe even answer some question of curious non-playing parties.

 

So, I have a question about Crafting. Its going great for me and the levels are climbing very well, but I'd like to make some stuff I can actually use.

 

I have all the material required for making myself a Steel two-handed sword except for " minor weapon refining stone(s) " and there are none in the Trade Broker at the moment. Where can I get my hands on these, preferably, if possible, in abundance?



I  need "6" .

    Hi jefaw82,

    I have recieved all my refining stones from the Broker or as drops, in the area around Verteron Citadel, Tolbas Forest and the Dukaki mine/settlement next to Tolbas village. The mine/settlement area seemed to have the best drop rate.

    One quick tip, when searching on the Broker, be sure to write what you looking for exactly as the tooltip is written, it's case/punctuation sensitive, one dropped capital and you won't find a thing :)

    Before anyone asking for question, i will tell you few things I know.

    1.There are two gathering skills, one for ground another  for sky.

    2.Your first rank is 99 and you cant upgrade to 199 before you reach 99.

    3.Gathering skills cap are 399 and crafting  are 449.

    4.Gathering skills you learn it once you choose your class, so bascially level10.

    5.You can pick up all the crafting/profession total 6, Armorsmith,Weaponsmith,Handcrafting,Cloth/Leather working,Alchemy and cooking.But you can only master one for last level.

    6.To learn rank 1 you need 3000, rank2 =15000,rank=3 100,000 rank=400,000. Then last rank is hardest part, the npc will give you a request. once you done you reach highest rank.I believe after you reach highest rank  alot of materials require to make item/gears would be different and you can make gears/item lot better quality than the rank you were. You also get a extra 8slots bags and a yellow(golden) hat as rewards. Cooking is easiest and Weaponsmith is hardest to reach highest rank.

    7.When you making a piece of armor or weapon, there is some chance you will get a shinning event when you trying to make any armor/weapon. The shinning version of white gears will be come greens. Also when you making greens gears they are chance to get Double shinning events, that means Green ---->shinning Green(once) ---->Blue(twice). Oh yeah making blue can turn into golden,but only after you reached last rank.(400+)for blue ===>> golden.

    8.From what I read level matters the chance of getting shinning items, from their test result but its not offical announce..

    9.Cheapest way to reach 399 is keep doing the repeatable request quest from trainer. after 399 you need to do a quest to reach 400. Remeber once you completed you cant go back, cept level other crafting on alt toon.

    10.When you try to make a items by your own material, you might want to when you reach the require skill to make that items +10, this way it will reduce your chance of failling to create.

    11.You get a title call ??. (dunno what it's call in English patch)

    Can only think about these for now, if i found anything new i will edit the post.

    Thanks for the information, billyson. I have found it very useful and I'm sure many who read it will also.



    Error_404, thank you for the tips on where to farm. I've hunted in those places and got some refining stones as drops, but unfortunately they were for Armor. Hopefully some weapon ones will drop soon. Also, I did not know about the capitalization being important in searching the Broker... maybe there is hope of buying some yet. ^_^

    Can you translate this for those of us who haven't had the opportunity to play??  Rank one is 3000?? 99??? I'm seriously confused reading this.  I get the basic premise but could use some clarification.  Thank you.

    * 3000 kinah=money  99-craft level
