Well, I am selling my current rig (a dude at school offered me $500 for it and i said deal, since i only payed around $350 for the case and all the parts) i have decided to upgrade my computer and i am having trouble deciding between two computers that come relatively cheap from Tigerdirect.com here are the links:

Have you considered building your own rig?

    X3 720 BE = $135

    Asus M4A78T-E Socket AM3/ AMD 790GX/ Hybrid CrossFireX/ HDMI/ A&V&GbE/ ATX Motherboard = $142

    CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4GB ( 2 X 2GB ) PC3-10666 1333MHz 240-pin DDR3 = $70

    10-Bay ATX Computer Case with 550W PSU & 9.84-Inch Blue LED Fan = $38

    Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 - Hard drive - 250 GB - internal - 3.5" - SATA-300 - 7200 rpm - buffer: 16 MB = $40

    LG GH22NS30 Super Multi - Disk drive - DVD?RW (?R DL) / DVD-RAM - 22x/22x/12x - Serial ATA - internal - 5.25" - black = $22

    Sapphire 100277L Radeon HD 4770 512MB DDR5 Dual DVI / TVO PCI-Express Graphics Card = $99 (optional)

Without  GPU $447, with GPU $546.

The motherboard has an IGP (ati 3300) so you can save for a new GPU, but if you build it yourself it will cost less and you get a much better rig. All my prices I got from Amazon.com, do you have an OS right now and a keyboard and mouse? If not it may cost another $100 so then forego the GPU and you can buy them instead and save for it later.

The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience"
