Right now I play WoW and I am getting bored. Ever since WoTKL came out and raiding became so screwed up that if you are not in a 25 man raiding guild your chance to progression is nill. The reason I say that is people that want to put the effort into raiding and progressing has completely died out and I like raiding thats why I play wow. I am more of a 10 man raider myself but because there are countless 25 man raiding guilds that are always recruiting it has killed the game. 10 people now in 25 man raids can drag 15 other people through so what is the sense in doing anything else or trying to become better when you can just gear up.
Anyway I am looking to see if there is another MMO out there that is mainly a PVE game with good end game raiding with 10 people or so. Also would like the progression to be there were you dont need to spend 3 or 4 months on a boss, to me I would like a raid instance to be something you would spend 4 to 6 months total on it maybe 3 months or so learning to clear then the rest farming to move on to the next. Let me know what is out there please.

Wait for Aion.
MMOS played: WoW,War,Cabal Online,AoC,Lotro,Fylff,EQ2,UO,RoM,
LOTRO seems to be the prime choice for players bored with WOW. It's similar in a lot of ways and I hear it's fun. I played the CB and enjoyed it however PVE mindset games take a backseat for me. Another game more PvP based but similar to WoW is Aion, it's a Korean game but considered to be westernized and it's their answer to WoW. I've played the first 25 levels, and it is very WoW like in it's progression. You can try out the Chinese version for free, new servers open tomorrow for 15 days free then you pay per hour. There is a English community playing the game and the client is English but the game won't be released itself over to the western market until September. You can max level in a month or two and the end game content, while there are raids and dungeons, is mainly open world PvP in the Abyss.
You can pug a 10man no problem.
If you can't, transfer to a different server.
The problem is not that 10 mans cant be pugged its the drama of pugs that I dont care about. I run a 10 man raiding guild and had a ton of people leave for 25 man raiding guild which they can just sit back and be dragged through. Once a long time ago wow was a game where when you downed a new boss you felt like you accomplished something now its like yea so. I want a game where guilds that run 10 man raids matter because you feel like you accomplished something as a group.
How is the Raiding in LoTR
