Well...it depends on how long you are going to play and if you are a casual gamer or not. If you are a powergamer, you will finish the game a lot faster than a casual gamer, and, since there is nothing else to do besides fight, you may become bored quickly. I am a casual gamer. I've had the game for a month or so and my toons are only lvl 23

MMORPG's I've played: Star Wars Galaxies, Anarchy Online DAOC, EQ, WW2 Online, and Knight Online
This game is cool because of the cool super hero stuff. Only bad thing is your always going to be fighting the same kind of enemy through the whole game. Until you get your travel power at 14 the game is kind of slow, but its still cool beans. I enjoyed it for 6 months, and then it got boring. There's many different ways to play (ie- defenders, scrappers, etc) so your always doing something different.
I've come back to the game twice now, each time, I get really into it for about a month or two, then got bored and quit. If your looking for a long lasting game with character development, CoH is not it. If you want a short game to play until something else comes out, CoH is good.
I will head back in to see what the skills stuff is like, and of course I will try City of Villians.
For me the game is very fun. Sure, you fight lots of baddies - but in what game don't you? I was surprised at the large number of different types of enemies actually.. they are all fun to fight and your fighting style for each type has to change a bit to adapt to their different skills/tactics.
I played FFXI before I came to CoH, and to me FFXI felt like a huge level grind - playing CoH, to me, is a ton of fun
When I was kid...me and my cousins would thing...would you like to control fire, earth, water, lightning, or the wind? what would you look like?
now in this game you can make your own super hero and become your childhood fantasy, when i first heard about this idea ( when i saw the news about this game ) i didnt even look at screenshots or anything and i bought it, played it, and still am playing it
if i was you...i would have already bought it *wink*

Buy it! It is worth it. Character customization is real nice. Real fun game!
This game rocks. I can't wait to get it again after I'm all done with school.
Character customization, and your chance to play as a hero(or until City of Villains is released )
Looking for something new.
hope some1 reads this
I advise against it. Wait until the expansion maybe but otherwise you'll get a couple of months tops before you're bored.
