Do we get world PvP outside the Abyss?

malefacusmalefacus Member Posts: 135

How are the zones design? Do we cross the other race while questing?

Or better, do we get the same quests at some point?(a la stanglehorn Vale)

I'd hate to lvl to 50 without world pvp then spend my life in the abyss to get to do some world pvp.

    Keep in mind the Abyss is it's own land mass with multple zones. quest hubs, little towns, etc. It's not just 1 big battle field zone. Theres actually tons of PVE Raids throughout it as well.  Think of it as a continent in any other game. You'll get plenty  of your pvp fix here too. At some point you pretty much have to finish leveling in the abyss, atleast it's more ideal. (EG better quests, items etc.)

    But to awnser your original question, yes. You can pvp in the apposing factions zones before the abyss. There are rifts that randomly open up leading to the other races zones, they appear quite often in the mid-higher levels.

    Just to add to above, the "rifts" start in the level 20 zones, at level 25 you can goto the Abyss.

    Before the level 20 areas the game is just PvE.

    I had PvP in low 20's because our zone was attacked when a rift opened. So yes there is world PvP but there really is no benefit to doing it other than griefing the other faction and you do gain points for killing.

    They are the enemy and must be killed and it's fun as hell when your "Rifting" in a good party.

    Sorry but its actually level 20 that you can go to the abyss. I play china retail so i had to point that out. Before level 20 theres hardly any pvp but thats because getting lvl 20 takes about 3 days.

    Abyss = lvl25

    You get to use stigma stones at lvl20, If you do the quest.

    can't belive no 1 mentioned this but u can challenge ppl of your faction to a duel. U actually can't die in the duel: I think u get to live with like 1 hitpoint and there is a message that says something like: " player fell to the ground defeated"

    the first time i passed the rift into enemy world, my hands were trembling even though i am a longtime mmo pvper. It just feels so exciting to appear on top of a mountain overlooking the enemy land. I lookup the world map, plan my route and then spread my wings and glide down. Constantly looking out for red names, moving cover from cover to avoid attention. And killing my first victim. Damm fun. :)

    Exactly, you don't need full-loot in order to make pvp fun.  This game brings out the "paranoid factor" in pvp,  Not only do you got to keep an eye out horizontially around you but also vertically in some area's.

    Exactly the same feeling, did it with the level 19 quest during korean OB and it was damn exciting.
