MMORPG.com's Carolyn Koh reviews Outspark's snowboarding-based MMO.
When's an MMO not an MMO if it has all the hallmarks of an MMO? GuildWars broke the mold in 2005, and the industry hasn't looked back. Project Powder from Outspark is one of these borderline MMOs, similar to some previously reviewed games like UB Funkeys. Played online, Project Powder is competitive downhill snowboarding. It has character development, a skill tree, MMO elements in which player avatars come together in an area before the start of a race ... and PvP.

I can see this MMO being fun for an hour, after that well not so much for me then.
That may very well be an age issue, Devil. I don't think I would enjoy it long term, either (and I'm only a few years younger than you), but I remember having all kinds of fun playing repetitive motorcycle racing games with my friends as a kid in elementary and junior high school.
It seems to me that patience for repetitiveness in games wanes with age. I'm sure there are exceptions.
Sports MMO aren't very popular because you can't really add much replayability in a sport - it's a sport and that's it.
Still doesn't mean it isn't fun while it lasts.
yes.. when a game becomes an mmo.. when it have boobs on its poster..
snowboarding mmo.. and you would think, in -20--05 temperatures , you would be all warm and fuzzy in your clothes, clearly.. not if its mmo.. what made me laugh and come make a post in here.. is the poster girl.. in bikini, snowboarding ... i wonder why that doesnt exactly works irl..
Umm, I'm from the northwest, and there are three ski resorts within an hour or two of where I grew up. I have seen women skiing in bikinis. It's not the norm, but it's not unheard of. That being said, their objective in showing it was definitely not to portray reality - just to capture some of the male online gaming market.
Why are they aiming tits at a younger audience?
Booh!

those resorts usually aint real winter resorts.. i bet noone is skying in bikinis in alpes..
i live in europe.. in country where we have cold winter, and plenty of snow usually, and i never saw anyone do any form of winter sport activity in bikini..
hey i got nothing wrong with boobs, and sexy ladies, but that poster is somewhat out of space ..
This is basically an upgraded free version of SSX for your pc. Plays the same way and it doesn't try to be anything new or different. I liked it a lot and it's probably my favorite f2p casual game next to Albatross 18.
If you like SSX, then you will like this as well. I happen to love the SSX series.
7.5 seems low to me as far as a rating goes since this could easily have been a p2p game IMO( I know some of the other mmo like online sports games are p2p).
couldn't this be like another kartrider, I hear that's quite popular and is a racing/sports genre too
*blam blam*
this.
My blog:
If I enjoy this half as much as I used to enjoy the early Tony hawk games I'll be hooked for a while. I went through at least 3 Dreamcast controllers playing TH and THII
As a child tits intrigued now as an adult.....well they intrigue me. damn boobies allways keepn the man down, or should i say up.
why the feck does every advertisment for nearly every game on this site have a female avatar with here tits falling out of her bra/clothes?
Is that where we are in todays society? you gotta show tits to sell something to your target audience?
MMORPG.com might aswell go hentai ffs.
