LMAO!!!! I love how the dude just floats up out of the water like he's Jesus, and all the players in the boat just stand there. Then he takes the boat and flies all around the world. If you think about it, these hackers have added a new feature to the game, flying ships, something the Darkfall developers were too newb to do themselves [see photo above].
It reminds me of the worst hack I ever saw in a game, some dude somehow managed to take one of the castles in the game and ride it all around the game world like a frickin' horse.....

Apparently that guy selling the boat had a legit boat, they're still trying to figure out where the one stolen by hacking is... I'm not sure why it has taken this long, but at least they're doing something.
Apparently they took the boat from the guy selling it, then checked the logs, verified it wasn't mine, then gave it back. This is kinda silly, but on the other hand very encouraging and makes me feel as if they might indeed get it back to me. Little bit of hope restored here.
Thanks for the boat, VG. I consider this ample compensation for the shitty months I endured playing with you.
Please note, however, that it took a significant amount of time for support to respond and, even though this incident has been made extremely public, there has yet to be any public response from Aventurine. That's pretty disappointing, although not unexpected, since effective customer communication is most certainly not one of their strong points. They really need to publically address such a visible and blatant hack or else they're only suffer further harm.

I would assume so. All BS aside when anyone of us makes a commitment to a MMO, and that is precisely what it is...assuming you are COMMITED to the long haul, you have alot of baggage invested in the game, you also may or may not have dragged friends along, or been dragged ;} and may have convinced your "guild" to play it as well. So yes, you hope it improves, fact isnt that really the story of every MMO? I cant recall one ive played that was static perfect.

Your problem is that to you, Darkfall is all puppy dogs and rainbows. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with the game in your eyes. I played and loved swg but I knew it was far from perfect. I played WoW and enjoyed it a lot but, again, far far from perfect. Right now I'm playing EVE and having a blast, but I know its not perfect either. The difference between someone like yourself and someone like me is that I can enjoy and have fun with an mmo knowing full well that theres problems with the game and I'm more than willing to point out those problems to others and when others mention those problems, I don't act they just kicked my mother in the stomach.
I'm still half expecting you to one day post "Ha, I just punked all of you into believing I was a rabid fanboy! Owned!" because I find it hard to believe, from reading your posts, that you are for real.

The only thing more entertaining than constant reports of hacks are all the excuses that these things are all isolated incidents because someone claims *they* haven't seen something like it (yet). But a picture (or video) is worth a 1,000,000 fanboi words.
And yes, we have all seen other MMORPGs with hacks but that video shows the sort of bug one would expect to see in a very, very early beta test. (It was a freaking FLYING SAILING SHIP for pete's sake!)
I guess all those AI bots Aventurine was using during their development never thought to try something like that. Nor any of their brilliant 'professional beta tester' team. Stuff like this is why real companies try to have more extensive beta tests.

Working as intended indeed, Only the hardcore DF players can appreciate why AV introduced this flying sheep (yes sheep not ship, typo is intended too) into this marvelous game of a century. We carebears cannot never see the Emperor's new coat.
